sounds like they obviously know they have a monopoly on people. fancy shmancy indeed!! just go up highway nine about five miles and it will take you to price chopper, a block north to sams club, a few blocks north of THAT to Hy-Vee. do your big shopping there and then pick and choose at this one. IMO they don't need to make it so extravagant, people need food, people need to eat, people need convenience. they are totally milking on that factor.

by the way, see Milk. it's the best movie in years.

why wouldn't you just go to sunfresh down on southwest trafficway?

true, i guess, depending on where downtown you're coming from. i live a block away from sunfresh though so it's convenient for me to just go there... or walmart on the way home from independence.

I dunno if you're asking me or the comment poster, but I hate Sunfresh. As of now, I tend to do my shopping on the way home from work at the Hy-Vee on the way.

Agreed, I was watching the news last night, and one woman they interviewed said that she needs to drive 10-20 miles from downtown (not minutes, MILES she said) to find groceries. I was like, where the hell are you going to shop? There are plenty of grocery stores here in Northeast, just 3 miles from downtown. Granted, I live in Northeast and don't shop at the stores around here unless I have to, but in a pinch? Just need salt? Apple Market on Independence Ave has it. But yeah, for my weekly shopping, HyVee on Englewood.

yeaaaaaah she probably thought that each minute was a mile. Seriously, that's how far I travel (in MINUTES) if I don't get them on the way home... simply because I refuse to shop at Sunfresh.
