Drink & Draw Social Club "ART" Show @ the Jackpot FEAT. Baiowolf!!!
DRINK & DRAW LAWRENCE THIS THURSDAY (DEC. 4th) FROM 9pm until 1am-ish!

For the past couple of years we’ve been doing, in conjunction with the Jackpot Saloon, a series of DRINK & DRAW events, where people come in off the street and imbibe copious amounts of alcohol whilst making drawings that range from cute, confusing, and creative to racist, misogynistic, and purely infantile. Most of the offending artwork was done tongue-in-cheek, as we always have a "theme" contest that seems to bring out the dirty-and-awful-minded in many of us! That said, we’re taking the cream of the crop from these shows and displaying them all along the walls here with a reasonable price attached. All other drawings will be found throughout the space, placed in bins, and going for a couple dollars a pop! All of the revenue generated by the event (through sales of "art") will go to the COMIC BOOK LEGAL DEFENSE FUND (keeping porno- making comic creators out of jail since the 90s...)! So, help us help others that have run afoul of the moral majority by buying our completely amoral "artwork"! We’ll also have artists on-hand MAKING art, including Astrokitty’s very own Joel Pfannenstiel, who will be drawing "soul caricatures" for $5 each (or "chibi" versions of your favorite comic book character).
Original art by locals (drunk or otherwise) is a great way to spruce up your home or get an awesome, unique gift for people during these holiday times!
On top of the "art" show, this is going to be an actual DRINK & DRAW event...so we'll have drawing materials on hand and be holding another theme contest once again! Come on out and win a pitcher of beer!
PLUS, we'll have the less-than-dulcet sounds of BAIOWOLF to help us celebrate this fantasmical event (starting at 10:30ish).
This time around...we WILL be holding the event at the Jackpot Saloon (as opposed to D&D Art Show UNO...which was at the store). So, come on out...buy some "art", make some "art", drink some alcohol, and check out some amazing musical refreshment!
Festivities start at 9pm! We'll be charging $3 cover right before the band begins to play! BE THERE!!!
Bring money, either way, for alcohol, buying art, and whatnot. There IS an ATM right outside of the Jackpot, FYI! See you there!
