A Green Festival is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at 6304 E. 58th St. The suggested donation is $10.
The festival will have an all day/all night acoustic jam, a farmers market with locally grown vegetables, vegetarian food provided by Blue Bird Bistro, handmade crafts and other “green” business booths; speakers and workshops on green living and a 7 p.m. concert with Checkered Past, Denise, Brandy and Anita and Steve Gouge.
Part of the purpose is to help send Checkered Past to the Terre Madre gathering promoting “positive globalization” in Italy next month.
