new kitten crisis - newborn on other side of glass door from Emma
Okay - new crisis (why won't my LJ work?!).
Grey fluffball (prob 4 months old) is with upstairs neighbor for THIS moment. No word on whether they will keep. THAT kitten may very well still need rescuing. Was going to tke pic to post, but... can't upload pics to LJ because I have no toolbar/options or anything - just a text box today again)
But - the "things" my dog has been throwing fits at in my basement windowwell appear to be a momma cat and her kittens. All tri-color tabbies). The thing my dog probably woke me up throghout the night about was prob ths as well. Kittens, as in eyes-not-completely-open, can-barely-toddle-few-inches kittens. Momma is nursing them on my back patio now. They all need to be moved as soon as possible.
If ANYone can help (I'm going to TRY to make some calls from work - but as late as I will be and as many things as we have going on - I prob can't). Please, visit the apt office at FOUR SEASONS APARTMENTS at 87th & Grant in Overland Park. (66212). You cannout gain access to my yard without going through the apartment (I have left msg with landlord = but there are some rumors about how they may have dealt with some strays in the past...). On our lease, we can be evicted for feeding a stray - and while I almost considered it worth it - I can't lose my job too) - and this is a nightmare and a half for a sick dog just on the other side of the sliding glass door from these cats that needs to be resting (and is right now losing patches of hair and trying to throw herself repeatedly through said sliding door)... I am also scared my dog's fits will drive Momma away as she is acting skittish and not nursing kittens who are trying while just responding to dog (flattened and hissing).
I cannot do anything to move them now. Or deal with dog that needs attn.
I am bringing my spair set of keys to work with me. If anyone can pick them up and help - please do. I am so late now and will be there til midnight.
