Fish!

I'm just curious if anyone has any recommendations in the area of purchasing fresh fish! I now live down near the river market and am looking for a good fishmonger or just a grocery store with good fresh fish.

There used to be a big Asian food store by the City Market with a big seafood section that looked pretty fresh for some place as land-locked as KC is. I haven't been there for years, but business always seemed to be good for them.

It's been a while since I've been to that market (though it was awesome last time I was there). You're talking about the one that's right near the road going to River Front Park, right?

Yes! We buy whole, fresh fish there. They will cut it into however many pieces you want and the prices are reasonable for fresh seafood. If you are driving down grand, you will see it on your left right past the rivermarket...really cant miss it, it's big!

Whole Foods (91st and Metcalf) has really fresh fish, I think they get couple shipments a day.
