WTF WTF WTF!?!?!?!?!!!
Hey kids, have you heard of that group from Wichata that has those huge images of aborted fetus's? They're on campus and will be here until tomorrow. They've got these gruesome images up that are larger than life which is disturbing because I've been learning more and more about triggers. They have warnings up, but you see the images before you see the warnings.
I hate one right in front of the computer I'm at. You guys wanna know how to save women and babies from "irreparable harm"? Save sexual intimacy for marriage and choose adoption!

As you can tell I have some...issues...with that line of thinking.
1) Not against people who want to save sex for marriage, but what about people who can't get married? What's wrong with people who want to have sex? The Safe Sex/Sex Positive in me is raging at this propaganda (because that's what it is-fearing mongering propaganda).
2) How many kids do you plan on adopting? I don't know too many people beside myself who actively plan on adoption over giving birth to their own children. There's nothing wrong with having your own kids, but foster care is over burdened and it's damn near impossible for straight couples to adopt. The hurdles you have to go through in order to adopt get ten times harder when you're single or in a same sex relationship.
3) Holy triggers Batman! Sure some people are able to ignore this kind of thing, but you don't know who would have a traumatic break down at seeing this kind of thing.
This wouldn't bother me as much if people were just handing out flyers or something. At least then you can politely say "No thanks" and be on your merry way if you're uninterested.
