FRANZ! HAPPY (SLIGHTLY BELATED) BIRTHDAY!!!! ♥ I hope you had a great day with cake and alcohol. :)

Have you made any progress regarding the home-buying decision?

BTW, I'm admiring your translation skills, and I love the picture. Very cool.

Thank you!!! :D

There was cake, but no alcohol -- I have the feeling I may be in need of the alcohol soon. I made an offer on the 2BR condo... but so far the seller and I do not seem like we're going to be able to reach a price that's acceptable to both of us. So stressful!

I'm pleased with the way this translation came out! But you should try to get the books in German. I highly recommend them! Does your library carry books like this? Look for "Ab sofort Dämonenkönig!" :)

I think I missed your birthday entirely this year! :( Hope it was good!

Oh no that sucks about the condo. Maybe they just enjoy letting you sweat a bit and go down with the price after a while.

I had a great birthday with Mexican food and yes, there was alcohol. :D

I might just check out the books. The artwork looks stunning!

That would be nice, if the owner would cave a little with more time!

The artist, Temari Matsumoto, has gotten better over time, too. If your library also has comics, she's recently started doing this whole series as manga.

"He's not dead. So, unfortunately, I cannot cut his body open to take a peek inside."

My love for Anissina only grows. How is she so awesome? And scary? (Awesomely scary, scarily awesome.) I love how easily she sasses Gwendal for his lack of knowledge on poisons.

Between this chapter and the last one I'm a little impressed at how committed Murata is to keeping up his illusion of cluelessness. The interplay between him and Yuuri is just so cute--it makes me want to see, oh, a road-trip with just the two of them or something. (Er, well, I guess this technically is one already, but one without all the panic and worry would be fun. *g*)

I'm also fond of Yuuri's introspective mood at the beginning of his section, and his thoughts on how things might have ended up differently in a "for want of a nail" way. Given what's been happening it's a very realistic path of thought for him to take at the moment, and really fits in well with the idea of him working through his insecurity step by step.

Yeah, Murata keeps up his clueless act a while longer. It's not till book 8 that they have The Confrontation. (And now that you mention is, there is definitely a "road trip" aspect to this trip!)

fits in well with the idea of him working through his insecurity step by step.

Yep, it really does! You can see the point and structure of this arc, but... poor Yuri.

And Anissina! And Gwendal! Still with all the love. More of those two is coming soon. :)

God, the novels are so much better than the anime, even though I have extreme love for both works.

Thanks for translating~ x3

I have extreme love for both formats as well -- I think I wouldn't enjoy the books as much without the way my brain knows exactly what all their voices sound like when they speak.
