KKM Novel 4, Post 1

I'm back! And I'm really kind of hooked on these, can you tell? But this is the last novel I have for now, so soon you will get a break. I will probably order another batch in the July-September timeframe, depending on how long my patience holds out. The prologues are becoming my favorite parts...

Ooh, a Murata prologue--I was wondering if he'd get one! He sounds so mature, too...until you get to the 'by correspondence course' part. XD

So Conrad went into Yuuri's bedroom while both Yuuri and Wolfram were sleeping, and locked the door so no one could get in? Wow. I mean, he has a point that it was a good idea--no matter how amusing it is to imagine Günter and Wolfram tussling over the appropriateness of sharing a bedroom before marriage, it's not a fight you actually want to be in the middle of--but still!

It's interesting about getting a different feel from Wolfram's neediness. He seems much more sympathetic (to me, anyway) when his behavior of that sort has some kind of sense behind it, rather than when he just seems like a kid being grabby and obstinate and shrill. (I still wonder if his paranoia of cheating came from watching his mother's behavior.)

I found another translation of excerpts from a fan-made Chinese version online where there are whole paragraphs of Wolfram-oriented fanservice that are not in the German ( ... )

So Conrad went into Yuuri's bedroom while both Yuuri and Wolfram were sleeping, and locked the door so no one could get in?

Seriously, the more you think about that scene, the more impressive it all gets -- if Yuuri's alarm has gone off three times, and usually there's 10 minutes or so in between times an alarm clock will go off, that means Conrad has been standing there watching Yuuri and Wolfram sleep for at least a half hour, right?

And I laugh hard when I think about how long it takes Yuuri to realize Wolfram is wrapped around him... and how Yuuri just accepts that Conrad wipes the sleep from his eyes... just! *fangirlish squee*

It could be that the German translator left stuff out, but that seems really unlikely to me... I mean, it's Germany. They're very painstaking; they don't do that sort of thing. ;) (Do you watch/read Hetalia? Ludwig and I go way back, I've got a huge soft spot for him ( ... )

At least! Uh, not that I might not give into the impulse to indulge in a little staring in that situation, but--that sort of behavior is a bit stalkerish, Conrad. XD Oh well, I guess it hasn't reached the creepy levels of Twilight yet.

Yuuri's protestations of heterosexuality seem less and less plausible! Even taking into account Japan's different standards, being that heedless of having a boy cuddled up to you in bed, or that comfortable a guy rubbing the sleep out of your eyes for you--it's awfully suspect. Surely Yuuri can't be that oblivious.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like something that would need to be edited out. Now I'm all curious as to what's going on behind that other translation. (Ah, I don't read Hetalia much, but I am familiar with the series! And...yes, I can imagine Germany being Not Pleased if stuff was left out of a text. *giggle ( ... )

I love these fanservice-y moments too, and there are so many of them! It makes me want to share more and more, the further into the books I get. This time I had to make a post already and I'm only about 40 pages in. ;p I really hope they get translated (officially) into English someday!

You're very welcome! ♥

This so you know you still have fans after years of your service.
