Feist

Thanks to

It is quite odd to think that this is Canadian pop.  It sounds so French (you know, berets and brightly-colored trenchcoats, cobblestones and, er croissants, like that).  And Feist reminds me so much of Charlotte Gainsbourg.  Because of this, I now want to go to Europe and sing "Mushaboom," which incidentally is the clip from that Lacoste perfume ad, which I cannot believe nobody remembers.  When I heard this song, I almost clapped and said, "Aha!" because I'd been looking for this song ever since I heard it on the ad.  I love this Jimmy Kimmel performance of "Mushaboom".  And lookie, Rilo Kiley is in the audience.

My little sister, Mikee, loves "One Two Three Four".  Now, I'm really digging "Inside and Out" which I think is a BeeGees remake.  It's amazing to note her musical influences.  Hints of Euro-pop, folk, jazz, and disco, without sounding overboard.
