Musical Whimsy
The other night I was bored while checking out iTunes. Always a mistake. I decided to find and download a song for every place I've lived if such a song existed. Here's what I found and downloaded:
Houston (Means I'm One Day Closer to You), performed by Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers
Miami, performed by Will Smith (close enough to Fort Lauderdale)
Point Me in the Direction of Albuquerque, performed by The Partridge Family
Now, I was never a Partridge Family fan. I was stunned to find this song. I've been listening to it over and over. Here are some interesting famous people who are from Albuquerque or who have spent some time here: Neil Patrick Harris, Xzibit of Pimp My Ride fame, and Bill Gates.
Yep, definitely something in the water.
