It was a little disorienting. One moment she was floating wraithlike around the house, unsure of where to go and where to land but doubling back again and again through hallways that stretched on longer than they should have, but were still entirely too short. Then she was groggily lifting her head from rumpled sheets, and found  herself kneeling half on and half beside Allen’s bed. Again. A quick look at the bed’s occupant revealed that he had not moved much since she came in.

Lenalee wasn’t sure how much of it was figments of a dream and how much was real, as far as the pacing went, but did not dwell on it and pushed herself to her feet instead. Not that there was really anywhere else to go, but she was spending too much time in this room. Too much time waiting for a response or change that wasn't coming yet. It would be one thing if it did Allen any good, but she didn't honestly believe that it did. Her presence was purely for her own benefit at this point, and seemed to be hurting her more than reassuring. Even just a wall between them for a little while would be better.

Sliding the door open, she silently made her way to the small living area/kitchen, and was momentarily surprised to see someone already there.

“Lavi?”

Right… she hadn’t really thought about it, expecting him to return home, but he had been staying with Kanda.  Lavi… probably felt about the same way about him as she did, right now. Angry, confused, and above all else deeply conflicted. Lenalee would have wondered how that could have slipped her mind in all of this, given how much she had been thinking about Kanda since hearing the story, but Lavi had a way of doing that. Somehow, he almost never seemed to be at the center of her mind.

It was awful, really.

“I’m sorry, I dozed off.”
