Who: Allen Walker (dichrous ), Lenalee Lee (nec_metu )
Status: closed
Style: Third person
Where: Hisato complex, Allen, Lenalee, and Dre's room-ish
When: Week 7, Day 6 LATE night
Rating: PG?
Warnings: Angstfluff as always I imagine, sigh.
Summary: These two have so many issues to sort out (again) it's a bit ridiculous.  Between Cross, Dre, Yoite's death, and the again-confusion over where to stay and what to do... yeah, life sucks to be an Exorcist again. Especially for these two. Not that it ever really stopped mostly-sucking. But adorable kid at least? (Allen needs some fluff after the week he's had, jeez.)

Tea had become an odd kind of thing for Allen.

For someone supposedly British, he had encountered it and things like scones rather late in life. And of course when he did get in the habit of tea regularly, it had to be in the Asian style of serving and drinking it. Because that made sense. Somehow. No really, it kind of did to Allen. Blame Komui's influence at the Order.

But as it was,  leaning his back against a wall of his room with Lenalee and Dre (well, technically Lenalee's room as Dre slept in the next one over and Allen's futon was there, but he didn't want to risk disturbing the boy at this late an hour and Lenalee's "room" was technically the main area or entrance to the space they had at this complex anyway), Allen was a bit lost in thought.  Leaning back with one leg outstretched and the other knee bent up, where Timcanpy perched, he fixated on the "screen" from the golem for the distraction and ability to concentrate on something not-him and not-Noah related but still relevant.

But the main room had a small tea set, so while he fiddled with a sulking Timcanpy to try and explore what people were saying on the network about crap, this place, displeased as the creature was with Cross's inevitable departure, Allen made himself some tea and frowned at the lack of kick in it. (Brisk, tea was supposed to be brisk.) But he sipped it anyway while frowning into the screen at.. lord, what were some of these people saying.

And it was stalling. Allen knew that on some level. He hadn't told her anything about what he had dicussed with Cross yet. Or what this meant for meeting up with Sasori. They had been distracted by the kid they had inexplicably taken under wing because... well, Allen was the last person in the world to leave someone like that on their own. Perhaps he saw a bit too much of himself in Dre.

A lot, actually.

But it had been a fairly welcome distraction even if it kept him and Lenalee closed tied to Hisato since they came back with the boy, because Allen needed, even if he would consciously protest that, a lot of time in his head to process. But of course he'd never consider it as such and would plough on ahead anyway.

However, he was equal parts convinced to slap away the recent revelations about the 14th and rededicate to holding against the Noah... and knowing that could be a terrible, terrible risk.

So the troubled boy, lost in his thoughts, drank his too-weak tea with the cup held neatly in both hands, and brooded quietly over a grumpy golem-Hitomi.
