The sun was already up above the cliffs surrounding the village, indicating it was mid-morning; this was one thing about this version of Sunagakure that was the same as the one Sasori knew so well. It was a comforting bit of familiarity that he clung to in the face of all the confusion and uncertainty that he'd faced this morning.

One more comforting bit of familiarity was already on his way to see him. Sasori paced nervously outside one of the larger homes in the village; he had not faced Deidara since their argument, and even if his partner had immediately set out to see him as soon as they'd spoken via Hitomi, Sasori was still uncertain about what he was about to face when they met. It didn't help that his self-control was still rather frayed by his parting from Sakura only hours before.

Still, he'd needed to talk to someone, someone that he knew he had a real connection to. It was a strange compulsion, as every other time he'd ever experienced betrayal and rejection, he had always completely withdrawn from everyone. This time, however, it hadn't taken long for the urge to speak to Deidara to enter his mind...even if he was at a loss for what he actually wanted to say.
