[This is what Deidara was waiting for: the wind in his hair as he flies through the air, the clay in his mouths waiting to be released, and a village before him, waiting to go up in flames. That it's Konoha makes it even better; such a pretty little village just waiting for him. It's a pity there's no mountain sculptures to use as a canvas, but he can adapt to what he has to work with.
And there's no better way to announce an arrival than a few bombs. He flies in fast and drops the birds from his hands, where they take flight on their own and move through windows to blow the tops off of a pair of roofs near the entrance of Konoha.
He's flying through fire and smoke, now, and this is what he loves, what he wants to do, so he darts up higher and sets off a few more bombs.
