It's time to see if Duel Monsters can actually be explained. )
Such a nice day deserved a walk, and so Juudai was strolling up and down the streets doing his shopping, stocking up on staples like rice and cured meat. (They had been living well on fish, but Asuka had mentioned they should probably start storing up food in case winters were harsh here. Probably a good idea.) With his red duffel slung over his shoulder, now quite battered after its days traveling in both his world and now in Kannagara, Juudai turned past the ryokan and paused to appreciate the landscaped gardens, and the plumes of steam rising from the hot springs out back.
And there was a man playing solitaire. Badly. Wait, Juudai recognized him. Who was that guy...?
{ Harry Dresden, } Yubel supplied at the back of his head. { The wizard. You spoke with him when that inn opened. } Oh yeah, now Juudai remembered. That had turned out to be a pretty weird day in general, no wonder he forgot about Harry. Parting shot from Yubel: { You had better learn to stop relying on me to remember things for you... } but Juudai was already approaching him.
"Playing cards?" he asked. His fingers itched to pull out his deck and teach Harry a real game.
