Summary: after Elliot enrages Kanda with his late night calling and Kanda enrages Elliot with an insult to his heirloom *cough*phallic*cough* symbol, they ended up deciding to sort their differences in a duel. That's right, a challenge. To protect honour. No backing out. IT'S TIME TO D-D-D-DUEL whoops wrong series.

Kanda decides it's a bit of a pointless thing after all, this... duel he more or less suggested himself. But he's not one to back down, ever, and it won't matter in the end. Might as well give life lessons to all the brats available (no, he's not afraid of their big brothers coming for revenge later; been there, done that, not impressed). Whatever.
So after he wakes up, washes himself and dresses, he heads out for the place arranged for the meeting. It's quite far but it's going to take half an hour anyway, so he doesn't rush but doesn't slack either, keeping an even, firm pace.
He's there before the time so he waits, no actual feelings of anticipation even if it's not exactly one of his 'chores', either, thank the damned god. When he does see the youth with a cowlick and a Western sword approaching, there's a slight smirk on his face, because what better time for taunting than in the place of greeting is there.
"I didn't really expect you to show up." You get a point for that at least, kid. If you don't fail too miserably when the actual fight starts, he might even bother to remember your name. "Not bad."
