Aug 16, 2011 20:39

Who: infiniillusion , Some Head Inspector NPC Person
Status: Closed
Style: Prose/Action/Whatever
Where: Metsuke's Office in Raisato
When: not-early morning (around 10 AM?) of day 6 of week 27
Rating: PG/PG-13 for Kanda's illuminative vocabulary
Warnings: above
Summary: After getting his arse handed to him by Lenalee due to doing irregular illegal dangerous activities (named tournament) to get money in order to not be a complete freeloader, Kanda sets out to find some form of a more or less decent job. Preferably still relevant to his interests, though. And since the plant stores around don't seem too respectful, he goes for the law enforcement.

It's been a question of time, really. After the initial tournament was over, Kanda still got to participate in some underground fights - some of which didn't even get him to break a sweat, really - but it wasn't anything steady. And while otherwise he wouldn't have minded being a parasite in the household, with Lavi being the way he is most of the payload landed on Lenalee's shoulders (no, he didn't really care about that Finder or Beansprout moving in). And that just wouldn't do, would it? It was his damned duty to help her now, at the very least.

That and she forever forbade him to get into fights for money. He wasn't sure how she found out, not that he's really been hiding it, but it didn't change the outcome; he had to find something else.

Unfortunately, he found all of the village's plant and flower shops' owners quite insufferable, being little old Bookman-like ladies who wanted 'perfect manners and delicate touch', what meant Kanda was out the moment he opened his mouth, and announcing himself as a freelancer gardener sounded a little too risky for his reputation.

Anything military like, that's where he could fit in with both his abilities and his manners. The closest thing to it seemed to be the police, and so, after breakfast, Kanda set out to find the local inspector-like-people's office. He wasn't expecting much, but who knows? Maybe this time he'd succeed. If not, there was always that freelance gardening option... dammit.

It didn't take him too long to find the office near the village's center; its title was a word he didn't know but judging from the look of it and the directions he's gotten earlier, this had to be the place. So he did a firm double knock on the door and pushed it open, walking inside and looking around for anyone he was supposed to talk to.
