[ Turning into a kid has its whiplashes. One minute, you are innocent and bam! Not so innocent. Well, as innocent as kids can be. Marco knows for a fact that kids can be cruel, so it's more of a matter of temperament, really. Though what kind of kid tortures ants? Not that Marco is sympathetic to ants. It's something he notices but doesn't really care about. Not really. If he cared about a lot more things, he would've been like Cassie. Or crazy. Or both. (One has to shudder at the though.)
Even so, Marco has to count his blessings. Nothing horrible has happened while they were kids (yet), and considering the last time Marco got turned into a little kid, this is an improvement.
A better improvement.
Although little-him totally trashed his own room. Wow, it's a bit amazing that little-him is worse at making messes than current-him.
Probably comes from the fact that Marco is used to make tighter, more controlled messes for the Yeerks to clean up. He pulls his little wall of pillows into a pile, gathering them up. ]
