[But his frown deepens, his gaze on Raikou becoming more intense as he continues talking about being upset. At least to him it's not something that can be said easily, and now he genuinely has to wonder. If he'd been sad, why didn't he just say so? Those ridiculous people who are too good in hiding things, dammit.]
[And that last mutter really makes him feel a pang of guilt, as he figures it might be a big deal to someone normal - seeing that he himself has died so many times he could probably have such anniversaries daily all year round. Still.]
[His frown is almost concerned as he continues eyeing the other man.]
...you could have told me that.
[Tone maybe a bit reproachful, but not blaming or anything. You might even take this as an apology, really.]
[Raikou knows how horrible he is with remembering dates and whatnot, surely he could have let him know if he was feeling especially sensitive that day.]
[Honestly.]
[He would have been at least a little less of an ass than usually had he known that.]

[Stepping in to bridge that last bit of distance, Raikou offers his husband a small smile and reaches out, curls his fingertips around Kanda's side in a feather-light touch.
Canting his head to the side, Raikou shifts his weight just enough to lean in, bodies close yet not quite touching as he murmurs low.]
Forgive me, Yu?
Reply
Yes. It was.
[He watches considerably coldly as Raikou gets close, however he remains still, not stepping back nor moving away from the touch, as if waiting for him to get even closer.]
[And then he just snorts, and there goes probably the closest you might get to forgivingness;]
Che. Idiot.
[His tone sounds rather annoyed, but still fond, somewhat. And then his hand is suddenly at the back of Raikou's head and pushing him closer, crashing their lips together quite roughly.]

A heartbeat, no more, and then his hand slides more firmly around his husband's side to splay flat against the small of his back. A sharp tug as he pulls the man flush even as his other reached up to curl around the nape of Kanda's neck.
Lips press harshly into lips before teeth and tongues clash, and so far as Raikou was concerned, forgiveness never felt so good.]

[So he emphasizes that point by kissing more fiercely and using more teeth than usual, biting on Raikou's lips; not hard enough to break the skin, but definitely firmer than a simple playful nibble. You bastard.]

Quite the opposite, in fact, when a moment later his fingers slipped beneath Yu's shirt to scrape blunt nails across his husband's lower back. It was easy to forget, in that moment, that they were still out in the courtyard instead of in a more secluded place.
Because for all his outrageousness at times, there were some things that were too precious to display so openly - if if that precious thing was a little rough around the edges.]

[You're gonna have bruised lips after this, bitch. He's got magical healing. In your face. Kufufu.]
[He notices that he's somewhat clumsy with the kiss, though, even if they've obviously done it so many times in the past. He blames the moment for it, though, because there's just no way he's not adept in it.]
[The nails do send a shiver through his spine though, and with another growl, he presses himself closer to his husband. The air's about to run out, but fuck if he's pulling away first. Not happening, not yet at least.]

Stubborn, stubborn man! Annoyance threads through passion, dulling it a bit, because really!
He'd come all this way, with gifts and apologies, when admitting his own mistakes and humbling himself before this person, when doing so is still such an unfamiliar action.
So why the hell wasn't that enough?
What the hell was Yu's problem, that he couldn't let it go already?
Raikou didn't know, and a moment later, when a strong hand wrapped itself in a long, dark, ponytail and pulled just as harshly, he figured until the man was ready to play nice... he didn't have to either.]

Well.
That's perhaps not quite exactly what Lavi thought he would run into. Ehm. Should he be concerned...?
He just watches them for a little while before deciding he should, so he approaches. Stops not far away.
And coughes.
Hi.]

[He was just about to make sure that horrible violet excuse for pants would go off and away onto the highest point of the roof, when there was a meaning cough right next to them.]
[And while Kanda didn't particularly care at the moment, he knew that Raikou preferred to keep things for themselves more often, so he pulled away, though leaving one arm around his husband's neck, and turned to the source of the noise.]
[And glared a little bit, because it was Lavi, and for some reason it being Lavi made him feel a little worse about the situation than he would have wanted to. So naturally, he masked that under a scowl.]
What are you looking at?

Thus, the moment Yu pulls away, Raikou had to draw his own breath and try to control his breathing once again. He slipped his hand from beneath Kanda's shirt and left a thumb hooked in the corner of his husband's front pocket, blinked back and pulled in the passion that had been so near the surface, so that he could smile politely - if not a little strained - at the man.
But there's a moment - a thin sliver of sensation or deja vous - where he feels like they're almost... standing in the wrong places. Only it's gone before the idea can take root or form into a choerant thought.]
Ah... good morning Lavi. I hope we didn't, un, disturb you overmuch earlier?

[He gives Yu a bit of a curious look, hovers there for a moment with a weird feeling. As if something's off. But he pushes it away because, really, what's with that? And shakes his head, waves his hand.
Before putting on a wolf's grin.]
Just thought that, since it looked like it was gettin' a little heated, I'd make sure ya didn't get too far~ Is all.

[He returns Lavi's look with a stare accompanied by a small frown, briefly wondering why he isn't standing closer to him than the other man, but that puzzling matter is long gone before it can form into anything coherent.]
[And then he glares at the grin and the words. Goddammit, Lavi. Even though he does agree they shouldn't be doing anything of the sort in an open place like this, you're not helping with the way you state it. And so Kanda is twitching and grinning right back.]
Just because your wife isn't giving you any, doesn't mean you have such right.
[Yup, practically gloating now. Low blow? Definitely.]

In what 'verse am I a wife?
[His tone is dry, still more amused than ever as he arches a brow and smirks at Lavi.]
Of course, if my husband needs the reminding...you'll need to excuse us~

Tha's a low blow, Yu. What, were ya seriously considerin' doin' it in the courtyard? We've got kids here, y'know, and I never took ya for that type.
[Because, really... Yu? Ahaha, what? Really? Come on.
He'd laugh his ass off if anyone even ever suggested such a thing.]

I never said that. But if you want to be proven wrong...
[He folds his arms and narrows his eyes a little; oh no you're not reminding him of anything and honey, if you really think you're getting anywhere near dat ass after saying it like that, you're sorely mistaken. THIS IS A CHALLENGE.]
[Oh yeah, Lavi is still here. And being a drama queen.]
Tch, Rabbit, what are you even talking about?
[His eyes widen for a moment; he uses that nickname without thinking, but now that he wonders, it's kind of strange to be calling someone that when you're married to someone else, because rabbits are, well, kind of a sweet thing maybe? Oh well, old habits die hard, he guesses.]
