Jessica comes back in to the house.]

[ The sounds were what alerted Chrome first.
The Hitomi, and now the ruckus of the townspeople outside. Combined with that broadcast from before (although she had been a child at the time, and thus her memory of it continues to be fogged) -- that other goddess -- Chrome is feeling somewhat uncertain.
Party. The word had been used. Although this is not a party so far as she understands the term. ]
-- Loud, today.
[ Meaning she will investigate, if necessary. But she would rather it blow over shortly before it comes to that. ]

I wonder what that lady actually means by getting the food I like. I really hope she doesn't mean people are going to chop up other people just to drink their blood. Blood-sucking ain't for everyone.
[Just ask her maker.]

[ Loud crashing sounds can be heard outside, as of windows being smashed. Chrome glances in that direction. Takes a slow drag of breath.
More than anything, she's wondering what's causing all this. The people in this place could be holding some festivities, for all she knows. Another matsuri? But it sounds remarkably like a riot, and that's what concerns her. ]

When he approaches the door, he slams his hands against the wood and starts scratching at it. He doesn't notice how his cold dead hands are gathering splinters.
He really likes to have a bite out of that girl.]

Which he jumps up and does, swinging the door open and preparing to cheerfully insult whoever is bothering them when he sees -
Someone in... rather worse shape than he was expecting.]
... Oya?

The zombie gives out a guttural moan that could pass as a growl before grabbing the man by the shoulders and opens it's mouth, baring it's poor dental care.
And reaches over to bite its prey's throat out.]

That's a zombie.
Mukuro has seen the movies. That is a zombie.
Fast reflexes and the flicker of his eye as he switches to Asura Realm are what saves him in the end - in the space of seconds, one hard shove to the thing's chest, pushing it up against the front door's threshold, followed by a recently manifested trident, which drives through the thing's chest and pins it with an awful squelch. Mukuro has stepped back out of the thing's reach before he has entirely finished processing that it's a zombie.]
... Huh.

And wakes up in a fucking hurry when he sees what's at the door.
Mukuro handles it before Matt can so much as yell advice, and it's almost enough to make him like the guy. Doesn't matter what kind of zombie, anyway, crazy-fast 28 Days Later or shambling World War Z, a fork to the chest is gonna stop either.]
Uh. You might wanna smash its head. Just to be sure.

[ Chrome hears some disturbance in the other room.
Knowing she will have to investigate, she begins to pad in that direction. ]
Who was it, Mukuro-sama?

[Mukuro is suddenly feeling quite giddy, now that the thing is pinned firmly. The fact that it is still twitching and reaching for him does nothing to dampen his sudden good mood.]
Go get a pistol, won't you, Chrome?

It would not be the first time. From out of the darkness, there had been others. Other trials. But she is not a girl, and she does not suppose, from his own handling of the situation, that it is necessarily him who is behind this.
Therefore: ]
All right.
Of course, Mukuro-sama.
[ She clasps her hands for a moment. Releases them. Swallows and nods.
With a backwards suspicious look, she briskly walks to the back room -- to the closet where their vast supplies of firearms are stored away. ]

Zombie?
[She approached the thing. For some reason, it seemed to be more focused on Mukuro and Matt than she, even though she is getting closer to it. Jessica gives the zombie a hard poke on the shoulder. It doesn't seem to notice.]
Wait, what does a pistol help anything? Isn't zombies suppose to be dead like me? Wouldn't that be a waste of a bullet?

Really.
He is the kind of man who takes a lot of showers, though, which is why, when he wanders into the room to see where it is everyone seems to have gone, he is in the middle of toweling his hair.
There is a zombie in the doorway.
Hm.]
Hm.
