[ This Valeria says as though it is perhaps the simplest, most obvious thing in the world, but without deceptive expectancy in her tone. ]
But unless you're from Gaia, you probably won't recognize the occupation.
[ And that's all she needs to say about that. It's a minor detail to the ignorant and she doesn't quite feel like elaborating, like handing the significance to this young man or anyone else who may be watching. Instead she observes his expression closely, carefully. Catches the pause and the tells. This young man appears to be rather obvious, an easy read. She makes some small attempt not to be unforgivably blunt all the same, her smile still easy and pooling with sincerity even as her eyes dart to briefly to one side, drawn by the view. ]

[ Valeria tilts her head just slightly, her curiosity being far greater than her surprise given his answer to her prior inquiry. Still, though, a golem? A communication device possessing... gender? This is more than enough cause for great curiosity. She conceals her amusement, though, keeping it from both her tone and her expression.
First impressions are important after all and 'rude' isn't one she intends to give him. ]
No, my Hitomi is presently in the shape of a phone of Gaian make and model. If you'd prefer your Hitomi assume another, more stable shape, it will without your asking it to aloud as long as you've got something particular in mind. So if you know what a phone looks like...
[ A pause and she smiles now, a tiny bit of amusement leaked for sincerity's sake. He apparently has manners and she appreciates them, but -- ]
