A flash of black hair sways at the right edge of your monitor, and finger pads shift, suddenly, the scene veering in the opposite direction. Stop it, Light. You're behaving like a child.
You're the one behaving like a child! I just want to have a look at it to esta--to establiss - I just want to see whether it's the same or not! More distortion of the screen, dark brown hair set against tree blossoms, and the vast expanse of the sky. Let go, bully!
I am not a bully. L releases his hitomi to his best friend, Light. If he couldn't behave, L would show him how to. Alright, you may borrow it for a few moments. Be certain to wash your hands carefully, prior to touching it. Anxious for his toy, L rocked from one foot to the other. And I'll be watching yours, you know.
Look, it's all-- Having accepted the hitomi, it suddenly goes somersaulting, showing only a blurry vision of a panorama and two small children standing near an apple tree. Deftly, Light manages to catch it again, and turns it toward his face to grin into it. Look, the light's already on. Can you see me, L? Hello! He waved with his other hand. This is really cool... How do I look?"
Of course I can see you. I'm right over here, dummy. His faces breaks, a smile swamping his features in sunshine. Just a happy go lucky kid who happens to bleed through the cracks late at night and alone. You wanna play a game?
The device is turned toward L, and Light speaks as though narrating. This is my friend L. He's very clever and he has stupid hair, but that's fine because--

Nodding emphatically, leaping up, succumbing to gravity because that's the joy of it all, L waves, and smiles magnificently. Show me, too! I want to be in the movie. He strikes a pose. Purses his lips. Hurry, I'm a Princess!
And... aand... YOU can make me pies! My very own pie maker!
The princess and the pie maker has a certain ring to it, but I don't think I want to make pies. I want to be a valiant knight. Watch out for that dragon, princess!
The hitomi arcs -- tumbling through the air -- as Light suddenly leaps at L, clattering off as he 'defends' him from the imaginary dragon. It goes off on impact with the grass.
