[Miharu doesn't like death.

It makes his skin crawl, a little, to see the dead body of a small child. It just makes him remember too many things that are connected to fear. He hasn't really fully managed to get used to the world of Nabari, to the idea of killing being... "normal". And he's not sure he ever will.

Not that he wants to, either.]

What happened? To the girl?

[Four doesn't particularly like talking about the subject either, but he isn't one to withhold information.]

She did not appear to be injured, so I am sure that the gas killed her. People tried to escape the gas by hiding in cars or going underground.

I looked for her story, but it was hard to find. Her name could have been Janet, or Alice, or Sophie. Anything about her must have been burned or buried where I couldn't get it. I hope it was a nice story.

[Long pause.]

Un, so do I.

[A little girl never deserves to die.

He has no idea what exactly this gas was supposed to be, but if it killed people like this... Wonder what kind of world Four comes from...]

I'm sure I'll find it someday though. I'll keep searching until I find it.

People have left so many things behind that I know it's out there.

[And yet another pause. The story... He's unsure of what he thinks of that, exactly. Of story's importance. It defines so much of what you are, after all, he supposes, and maybe... Maybe a part of the reason he has felt so empty for so long has to do with the fact that something vital seems to be missing from his mind, his memory.

He's pretty sure it's vital, it has to be, since the next thing he remembers after that is... not having his parents. Of course, he knows they died when he was very little so he's not sure he would remember much specifically even so, but...

Still.]

That is very good of you.
