[Vincent and dreams was something Alice wanted to absolutely not think about. But then, falling asleep with the Hitomi in hand...and seeing this dream, feeling the contentment there, it made her uncomfortable - made her reach up, ghost her fingertips across the place where scissors had cleaved flesh in another dream.
She shuddered at the memory, then glanced back down, focused instead on Elliot's young tantrum and his older, more familiar self. alive. So very, gloriously, alive.
It's lovely, truly, which is why she scrambles out of her bed, trips on a wayward sheet, and takes off out of her room and down the engawa to Elliot's room, not even bothering to get changed from her nightgown. Once inside, she hedges around past Leo's bed, then takes a leap, bounces slightly down to share the pillow with her favorite Nightray. As soon as she does, she holds the Hitomi up above them.]

[It's rare that Elliot sleeps particularly deeply, but he's not a morning person so if there's no nightmare and no Leo waking him up he sleeps in late. So when Alice leaps onto his bed, he's asleep but easy to wake and so, he jumps awake and pushes himself halfway up on one arm.
It takes him a moment or two to realise it's Alice on his bed, but when he does he groans tiredly and flops back down, rubbing a hand over his face and giving her a confused look. He hasn't slept enough, damn it.
...wait, what?]
Hm...? What the hell makes that worth waking me up for?
[Yeah, he's just going to turn and bury his face in the pillow. Go away.]
[See that lump amongst the covers on Elliot's other side? That would just so happen to be Leo, curled up. You might see a number of messy hairs poking out from under the covers here and there, but his face is mostly hidden.
That is... until Alice leaps upon the bed and disturbs his once peaceful slumber. And he's not as nice about it as Elliot is.
This is one of his arms, blindly removing itself from the heap of covers and trying to swat the Hitomi away from Alice with a grunt. This kind of excitement isn't necessary over one of Vincent's dreams.
He really doesn't want to know what it is this time.]
[Aaand there goes the Hitomi, right out of her hand. She blinks, blinks again, then leans up enough to glare over Elliot to said lump in the bed.]
You're gonna pick that up, Glasses.
[Point made, she drops back down to rest on her side, one hand tucked under Elliot's pillow as she falls to rest there again - because she's getting used to this, having to share her post-dreams-bothering Elliot time with Leo.
(Though usually, they're already awake so she can sit at the end of the bed, but no mind. Elliot only needs half a pillow, right?)
So she settles there for the moment, content to smile sleepily.]
Because it's not like his last dream of you. It's... nice.
[Nice. As in the Elliot's not dead and Vincent didn't kill her kind of nice.]
He almost raises his head at that (because a nice dream sounds... well, nice, because you don't see those often, here), but doesn't. He can sleep with half of a pillow, yeah.
Mostly, though, it's because he knows for sure that even if he's not a morning person, if he gets up and watches the dream completely unsure of what he'll think of it, it might just end up with him being wide awake and utterly incapable of falling back asleep. Besides, he knows Leo isn't about to get up and pick up the Hitomi, and knowing Alice she's likely not going to do so either.
And that leaves him, which would mean leaving the comfy, warm bed with Leo against his back and he's not so fond of that idea at all. So he's not moving anywhere.]
Too early.
[Is all he mutters before he pulls the quilt tighter around himself and shuts everything back out again, since he's not going to wake up for some dream that doesn't sound to be of terrible importance. It'll still be there in a few hours.]
[He's not getting up to get it. It's her own fault for bringing it here and trying to shove it in their faces while they were obviously trying to sleep so really, he feels it's no fault of his. So why should he leave the warmth over something so ridiculous? He shouldn't. He'll just bury himself further into the warmth and ignore it.
Maybe after a little more sleep he would consider it again.]
[She scowled at the face in front of hers a little bit, because Elliot hadn't even opened his eyes at that little revelation.
Leo, however, was just asking for it - which is why she leans up over Elliot just enough to poke him in the back of the head.]
Will too! But fiiiine~
[Point made, quite literally, Alice decides that if they're going to be stubborn, she can be too. And now that there's a challenge on the table, she's just going to shift enough to slip under the blanket too. She hates being cold. Hates feeling as if the chill of the Abyss is chasing her again.
Just a moment of settling, before she tucks her hand under her half of Elliot's pillow and closes her eyes. Maybe she could nap for just a little bit...]
[When he feels Alice moving under the blanket too, he grunts and scoots over a tiny bit to make more room, so that his back is pressed to Leo's. Normally, he would perhaps think his bed a little bit too small for this, but he just doesn't have the energy to care right now.
It's warm, at least, and he doesn't think he can really complain either (surprise, surprise, seeing as he pretty much always finds something to complain about). It's only because falling back asleep is much more appealing, so he drifts back to it only moments later.]
[Ugh, really? It's getting crowded in here. But now's the time to do it. Because caring requires effort and energy that he just doesn't have right now. The most he'll bother with is a small grunt.
But Elliot's closer now, and its even warmer.
Sleeping really is the best and only real solution right now. A little later he might actually be interested in whatever dream it was that Alice had come to show them, especially considering it came from Vincent, who never failed to be dull, in Leo's (unfortunate) experience.]
[Not that she really cares about any future complaints to begin with - which is why she lets out a soft sigh and curled in a little closer before drifting right off to sleep. It was earliest enough that the sun wasn't even up yet after all.
Besides...the bed was warmer, Elliot was warmer, and here?
It's another little proof that her friend is alive.
Just like the soft strands of long bangs that curl around her fingertips as she drifts off are, right next to his chin, content with the simple touch of reassurance.]
[And things just continued on peacefully. That is, until eventually the fact that three people where crammed into a bed meant for no more than two clearly, became an issue. And in sleep, there was nothing Leo could do but fall when he ran out of space. Fall with a rather unsightly loud thump and a dull cry of pain, dragging with him a mess of blankets and further making his hair stand on end.
Thanks Alice. Thanks. This morning has just been... great.
He'll just... work on untangling himself here aaaand... kill you later.]
[And those noises along with the sudden lack of warmth are quite enough for Elliot to jerk wide awake, pushing himself up into half-sitting and looking unclearly around himself. What even--?
..oh.]
Mnn?
[He leans over to peer over the edge of the bed, blinking.
[Alice, however, doesn't wake up immediately. She just rolls over a little more, right into Elliot, and twists her fingers in his sleep shirt, rubs her nose against his back as she burrows deeper into the trailing edge of the blanket.
A moment later...]
Ahahaha! You dare touch... mine...mmm pork...I'll cut off that hand~
