It was big and it had big brown eyes and no antlers, but it's nose was black and it had ears that were like this.
[Holding up his hands to demonstrate. Deer ears, apparently, are awesome. When he feels Vincent has gotten the point, he sits back and just smiles up at Vincent, as if he's gotten a sudden idea in his head, but isn't quite ready to explain it.]

Okay!
[Fai is up and running, leaping from the bed very much like a deer himself. He reaches out and swings from the doorjamb on the turn and is thumping off down the hall as every noisy, boisterous child does.
...what's this, he's coming back?
Breathlessly, Fai smiles, light from the other side of the door making a glowing halo of that fly-away pale Flourite hair of his.]
Vincent? I'm really glad you decided to become part of our family.
[And with no more than that, he's off again, an angelic whirlwind in a child's body.]

[Those words surprise Vincent, and he stands there for a second, just looking after the boy.
He doesn't call out, but that's all right, because as he starts forward to follow him, he speaks the words aloud. Whether Fai can hear him or not doesn't really matter, because Vincent is sure his friend - both his friends - know.]

[The moment Fai went tumbling from their bed, Yuui was awake. He could hear the laughter and the boisterous greeting from his twin... and he couldn't help but smile. Watching the exchange, however, was enough to send both a sharp spike of jealousy through his heart and warm regard.
Because it was simple, wasn't it? Fai had accepted Vincent into his heart, which mean he had to share the space there.
He could finally understand the faint sense of bitterness or resentment he sometimes felt from his brother towards Kurogane. Even so... Yuui doesn't begrudge either of them this connection. It was a healing step, for all of them, thus making it something he can't regret no matter what. Which is why he pulls the Hitomi closer on the pillow and closes his eyes, a small smile playing on his lips as he sends a message for Vincent alone.]
As am I, Vincent...as am I.
[A beat.]
But I'm going back to sleep, so don't blow up the kitchen~
Good morning! [bounce] Good morning! [bounce] Good morning, Vincent!

Good morning, Fai!
[He does his best to catch his friend, though his movements are a little slow for having just woken up.]
Are you sure it's morning yet???
Reply
It's morning! I'm awake! Let's have strawberry pancakes and toast, and I've been up for hours and I saw a deer in the backyard.
[The biggest grin.]
It was right by our window, but it ran away.

[Vincent laughs and hugs the boy, even jostles him about a bit, as he pushes himself up more.]
Did it have great big antlers? Or was it a little baby?

[Vincent looks sad for a second, and then suddenly grins at his young friend.]
Hey, why don't you try drawing it for me, Fai? Maybe while I start breakfast?

The words Yuui says are almost overshadowed by several things he didn't say.
I'm glad even though I have to share my brother.
I'm glad even though Kurogane is back and I might not need you as much.
I'm glad even though you're still a part of another family, still long for them.
Those aren't the words Yuui is saying, but those are the things Vincent feels his friend might mean by the words.
He chuckles, softly.]
I'll do my best.
