Some point when he's talking to heritgoboomSeptember 14 2011, 02:23:40 UTC
Harry had no idea who was in front of him or even where he was. He didn't have a very good idea of what was going on either. There was one thing he did know, or at least that he was pretty sure about. This discussion felt like a stand-off. Even more, it felt almost like a discussion he would have had with Lash. Harry shuddered a little bit. Lash, the piece of the fallen angel that had resided in his head and sacrificed herself for him after he'd "changed" her.
For now, he wouldn't do anything. He'd just stand by, watch, and maybe get a better understanding of the situation.
It's as Miharu feels his temper rising, just when he gathers together for a shout, when he notices someone else's presence. So instead, he pauses suddenly because that is not right, and slowly turns his head to check, though not taking his eyes off the woman because she's getting angry too.
He would never turn his gaze from her.
But this is bad. Someone else can't be here, just can't. It shouldn't be possible and... Or is it possible? But then... that's probably bad, right?
Harry still didn't move. He just stood there, watching, arms loose at his sides. Ready. He was always ready in such an unknown situation. If he needed to attack or defend, he was set to do it. He really hoped it wouldn't come to that though.
Or, more important, what was it. Obviously not human, though Harry couldn't pinpoint what supernatural baddie it was exactly. There was just too many of them, and as far as he knew he hadn't run into anything like this woman before.
Harry's groan couldn't have been louder if he tried. Dealing with faeries sucked. Period. It could never not suck, only suck a bit less than other times. Just what he wanted.
This man talked as if he knew something about it, but. That just didn't make sense, and Miharu would rather not many people at all knew anything about this. But if those things are connected...
It was probably about something else, then, right?
"Which court is she a member of? Winter or Summer?"
Harry had to assume winter. The summer court was more warm in appearance. That didn't mean they were hellishly dangerous though. Harry knew faeries. While he had more experience with the winter ones, he knew both courts and had participated, kind of, in a war between them.
Had he been awake, he might have picked up on Miharu's confusion and realized that maybe "courts" didn't exist in this kid's world. Since this was all a dream that Harry only thought was real, the idea of a faerie not being a member of one court or the other didn't exist.
It would solve the problem if he had. In his world, faeries couldn't lie. They could talk in circular riddles for ages which never really give you the full truth, but it's not technically a lie either.
Harry doesn't get that. Not at all. In order to hold your own against something, you need to know what that something is. Helps to be prepared and all that. The same techniques wouldn't always work against two different beings.
How...? As if it matters what a... thing holding all of the knowledge and power of the world actually is. It just matters that she has that power, and that knowledge.
But he can't let just anyone know that's what she has.
In Harry's personal experience with playing tug of war with some being that takes up residence in your head, you can never know all you need to know about your opponent. Not until that opponent is evicted at least. He knows not to butt into people's problems though. Unfortunately just because he knows he shouldn't doesn't mean he listens to himself.

So that was what the guy meant. Miharu glanced back at Shinrabanshou, and swallowed. He didn't really want anyone to know... So then.
"The fairy."
As he said to a lot of people, and preferred using.

He had no idea what any of that was, had never heard about it, so... maybe it was about time to be a bit more honest. He didn't want to, but.
"I'm not sure she's actually a fairy. If she is, I don't know which court."

Not at all. He honestly doesn't care what she is; he's much more concerned with the fact that she exists in the first place.
