[He is not in Antiva. He sits up, amber eyes warily taking in the bucolic beauty around him, so different from the bustle, the noise of Antiva city. The quiet is... disturbing almost, and reminds of him of the quest against the Blight

Hey.
[Okay, so maybe he's not the most enthusiastic greeter out there. There's a shrug of wide shoulders.]
The magic at hand seems to be the power of gods who have a thing for taking people away from their home worlds and dropping them here, in this land we call Kannagara.

[Pauses, then just laughs for a moment, rubbing at his temple.]
Like a child playing with dolls, no? [Sighs a little.] And I assume that people have already tried to escape and it is impossible?
Reply
[Not that he thought they had particularly been trying lately, but still. Touya was pretty sure Yuui had probably tried before his brother appeared. And he knew some others had tried.]
They do sometimes send people home, but it seems to be at their whim.

...Wonderful. Maker's breath, what do people do around here then?

[He pauses.]
I run a ryokan, a sort of boarding house for newbies. Free stay for a month, rent after that. That's what I do.

[So people either accepted their fate, or they fought against it. Zevran needs to find more about this entire situation before he chooses which side he wants to be on. Idly he wonders if there's needs for an assassin here, then dismisses it from his mind. Of course there is. If there's enough people there, then there will be hatred and resentment. And of course, he's good for more than assassination, he's handy enough in a battle. He did help defeat the archdemon after all. Of course this is assuming the cause is actually worth his while. It all just boils down to needing more information at the moment.]
And what have they found out? And a boarding house you say? I think I could be quite interested in that.

[It's not exactly that he doesn't pay attention, it's just that all those things sort of go over his head. Science is one thing. Magic that he can see results to right in front of him? That's the same thing as science, really. After all, he's been seeing ghosts his whole life, so it's not that supernatural things surprise him.
But those are all things he can see. He's never seen the gods, though he has seen the effects of their mischief. Still, it's not as if he has had any direct contact, and as such, he doesn't really... have a lot to go off. He's not the best with the theoretical that way.]
They seem to be playing chess with us, according to the pink-haired guy, and him and his lover seem to be the ones with the most experience with them? I'm sure you'll meet them eventually, if you want to know about that sort of thing.
[He shrugs, pokes at the screen.]
For now, if you poke around a little on your device there, you'll find maps. My boarding house is in a place called Mizusato.

[Zevran's long fingered hands quickly flick through the handy little device, finding the maps as the young man had said.]
This...thing is quite nice it seems. [Mulls over the other's words for a moment, muttering to himself] Mizusato. Ah. I see it.
[Pauses, then laughs to himself, tapping his temple] Ah, where are my manners. I'm Zevran. And you are...?

[He doesn't seem apologetic about not having introduced himself before, at all. But he does manage a slight smile.]
It's a pretty useful gadget. About all the technology that you'll find in this world, mind you. Though... you don't exactly look like you're from a technologically advanced world.
[Actually, he's pretty sure this person is something that would be considered mythical in his world. That's... yeah. He's not even sure how to broach the topic.]
Be sure that you're careful once you leave that area. It can be dangerous.

[Zevran has to laugh at the danger part, just a little. He had survived a blight, went through quest after quest, all of which seemed like suicide and in the end, had fought the Archdemon. He had been tested again, Darkspawn, Orges, Demons, Maleficar. He smiles a little and murmurs.]
Thank you for the warning.

[And that's a lot for Touya, when it comes to talking. He frowns, shrugs his shoulders, decides a little more explanation on a topic he does know about can't kill him. Even if being social is annoying.]
It broadcasts things without the user choosing to do so.

[He'd tried it, at least temporarily. Back when he'd been trying to work himself to death and not wanting people to nag him about it.]
I dropped mine off the ryokan roof and buried it under rocks, and it didn't work.

[Blows out a breath, and shrugs slightly.]
Well, I guess one can't really fight against that, can they?
Reply
[A shrug, because it's not like he's that good at magic yet, but he won't say that.]
Be careful. It can turn on at any time and broadcast you.
