But the impulse fades when he sees Walker's reaction to the Hitomi. As if he'd never seen one before...
Which means the Gods have no doubt brought him back without any memories of this place. Ginko doesn't want to tell the boy immediately about that... it'll be disorienting enough adjusting to this new place--provided Walker isn't from a similar point in his world--and besides, he was quite perturbed to learn that about himself.
So, when he finally finishes watching the video over again, all he says is,] Welcome to Kannagara. Things are a bit... stranger than usual right now, but I can tell you the basics you need to know. Or you could ask someone else.
[He's sure Walker will get lots of offers from his friends.]

[ Even though he's already heard it, he doesn't mind another confirmation. It isn't that he doesn't trust his friends, it's just so much to take in. ]

That's right. Or... almost right. They aren't exactly 'gods' as you be thinking of that word--more like very powerful beings. Nearly all-powerful from our perspective, I'm given to understand, which I suppose could amount to the same thing...
[This conversation is a little bit surreal, considering it was Walker who told him this. But Kannagara's basic method of operation seems to be making things as surreal as possible. You get used to it.]

But...so many people here are people I know back home, so I guess it's hard to decide what's better.

Well... if you do go back, they'll be there. If what I've been told is true. But you're here now, so it might be wise to concentrate on that. For now, at least.
