[It's hard to ignore. It's actually hard to breathe for a moment. He has to pull himself together first, before he can cross the room. He picks up the device Elliot threw down and sets it off to the side before sitting on the edge of Elliot's bed.
He reaches out and touches Elliot's shoulder, before he moves it. Leo gently strokes Elliot's hair. Because if he keeps moving it, it's harder to tell that he's shaking just a little.]
...
[He left the sword which he had been safeguarding all this time on the other side of the room. Now that Elliot had returned to normal, there was no need to guard it.
Right now soothing Elliot was what was most important. Everything else could wait. Because Elliot needed him.]
[Elliot has lowered his hands by the time he hears Leo moving, and he fists the sheets underneath him as he tries to stop the shaking and just breathe. But with Leo here, finally here...
It doesn't feel quite as bad, because at least he's not alone. Leo's mere presence is soothing, his touch even more so. It pulls him back to reality, makes it easier for him to think that it's alright, that it's nothing. So it doesn't take him too long to breathe easier, calmer, and for the shaking to subside.]
[If he had been told in the beginning that someday he would be sitting at Elliot's side, soothing the boy after each of his nightmares, Leo would have outright told the person that they were crazy. At first glance Elliot was too strong for that, and Leo had been far too distant. But they had been good for each other, each in their own ways, and now here they were. Nothing could have made Leo leave Elliot's side now.
He listens carefully to Elliot's breathing as he strokes the boy's hair. Unfortunately he'd done this sort of thing many times and he knows what to listen for. Leo doesn't stop yet even though Elliot seems to be recovering. Because even once the calm comes, he can't erase the images, and there's no telling how long it'll take for Elliot to find peace with those images. Regardless, Leo would stay by his side as long as it took and longer, just to make sure.
Words weren't necessary just yet. He'd wait. Elliot would talk to him about it when he was ready.]
[It takes a while, but finally, Elliot's breathing calms enough to not be heard at all and he shifts, straightens out a little from being curled up. But he doesn't yet push the hand away, doesn't want it gone.
He just presses his fingers against his forehead, sighs shakily. Not quite fully alright yet, no.
And he finally speaks too, his voice weary and silent, trembling.]
[The piece of a puzzle his future self seemed to have begun, kept falling in his lap sometimes in sets of more than one piece and already firmly connected. It was almost boring. Still he had a reputation to uphold.]
Your dreams are never a bore. I'm sure you have a logical explanation for what was shown this time~
[His face is clearly saying he's not going to buy it.]
That doesn't make it any easier, any less painful or infuriating. But he told himself before it that he's done dealing with this, with Break. Absolutely done with it.
So he swallows the fury, just lets it show through his glare (as tired as it is), as all he says in a dry, low voice is:]
[It's by pure force of will that he doesn't snap, pure force of will that he doesn't raise his voice.
Pure force of will that he just gives Break one last look before he covers the screen with his hand and ends the feed. A part of him feels like it's like giving up, but another knows it's the best he can do.
[The brat's having the same damned dream again, and Kanda has to briefly wonder if maybe Beansprout has some sort of similar dreams about the whole Noah-ery, as well. Still, his first idea has to be the thought that he had been, in fact, right. What other explanation is there?]
It's a good thing that he has gotten some more rest and is, in general, in a much better mood. Because, surprisingly, that doesn't get to him so much. Having talked things through with Leo he feels better about the whole thing in general, despite Break being unable to leave him alone.
And now this.
Because... people can believe whatever they'd like (at least when he doesn't care about them), that doesn't matter to him. Since he knows how it is.
[Same dream again, just more vivid and scary this time. Gilbert doesn't like this at all; it makes him feel terribly uneasy. But now, differently from other times, Elliot has someone who is capable of comforting him with him.]
[Leo is there, and he's now quite sure everything will be alright, even if he's still worried and the frown of concern lingers on his face.]
[But he'll just go to the kitchen and prepare the mixture for hot chocolate, so that he could offer some once they finally go down to the kitchen.]

[Fai only meant to have a look, just a glance. Elliot was, if not his friend, then...
Maybe, he was his friend, after all.
Still, nothing had prepared Fai for this dream. It came upon him in roiling waves of nausea, a familiar nightmare, soaked up from Yuui's aura as he slept. The familiar turned strange. Family turned enemy. Blood...all the blood...
Fai rolled over and vomited into a bush with such violence that he lay trembling and wretched for half and hour afterward. His response, when it finally comes is soft and querulous, but tempered with understanding; we are something of the same cloth, you and I.]
...Elliot...I.... Do you want to come over and have tea?
Perhaps it's fairly obvious that Fai is an incredibly kind person, a bit stupidly so. But... it makes Elliot smile, really. That, this offer... Especially since it's so unexpected.
They haven't talked much, and he definitely doesn't expect that from someone he barely knows.]

Then how would you explain this.
[Frowning a little.]
Something wrong with your mind.
[Barely stops himself from saying 'brain', ahaha that's too close to home.]

Well. He does have one idea. He's sure how connected it is, but. It's the only thing he has, so...
A snort.]
If you must know; a lot of family was murdered. That's the only explanation I can think of.
[Said matter-of-factly. No need to make it into some sort of sob story, after all.]

I guess I wouldn't mind that.

I've never been there before; where is it?
[He could probably find it if told. Maybe. Ahem.]
