[Matt doesn't really think of Misa as having that much to her. He knows that's not fair, but her entire personality has always seemed to consist of an endless loop of GOTO LIGHT lines, starting from way back in their world when Mello was watching her.
But now, feeling how things have affected her, even if it's just in her subconscious, he finds himself revising his opinion. Finds himself thinking she does it on purpose, which means there is something underneath, that she's afraid to look at. Depths too dark to think about, and that makes her interesting.
And there's a lot he could say, if he felt like it, like how he's resented L, but still felt some of the awe that's practically inescapable, enough that he took a perverse thrill in being borderline rude to him. And how he was starting to get over that when L got sent home, and now Matt wonders if he managed to win, and hopes he did, 'cause hey, at least that Matt and Mello would probably make it.
But he doesn't say anything. If they've reached a truce, which he isn't sure they have, it's too fragile for talking about this. Depths too dark for Matt to look into, for sure. So he just flips the Hitomi over and tries to go back to sleep.]
