[Elfangor can't help but smile, amused at Matt's obvious state of drunkenness. He recognizes the location, and remembers the last time they got shitfaced there. (Then again, perhaps remembers is too strong a word for the hazy chaos that descended from that event.)
So, it's close to Matt's birthday, is it? Elfangor is not exactly one to regularly celebrate birthdays, and certainly not his own. Not in terms of an Earth calendar. But he knows that such dates are of significance to humans. A ritualized recognition of change over the course of a year; a opportunity to recall and celebrate time already spent together, and to share wishes, hopes, for the future. Usually marked by the presentation of a gift. Hmm, a gift...
He has an idea, and before he can think too much on it, he makes his way to the summoning shop for a quick purchase, before heading to the sake bar.
When he arrives, he spots Matt immediately--makes his way over, and plops down in a chair beside him, pulling out of his satchel an oddly-shaped package. (It's not his fault

[The package and Elfangor both seem to appear out of thin air, and Matt's face lights up with a grin.]
Y'got me a present? You didn't hafta get me a present!
[It takes him a second to work out that opening it is easier if he sets his drink down. He rips the paper off, and his eyes go wide.
They're his goggles. Like, seriously, a perfect match for his goggles, the ones he gave up what feels like forever ago. Matt quickly decides the no-take-backsies tribute rule doesn't apply to gifts, and launches himself at Elfangor, hugging him tightly and giving him a messy, but enthusiastic, kiss, PDA be damned.]
[ Yeah, he's just going to quietly look away and make sure to keep his eyes on his drink while their snogging, thanks. His other self is pretty smashed, from the look of things, but it doesn't faze Matt - he's been pretty smashed more times than he can count, just in the past year or so. Can't blame the guy either; he knows this drinking binge is something between a celebration and destressing.
He makes a surprised face when he sees the content of the gift, though. Goggles? he wonders. It's then that he really notices that his other self isn't wearing any, and it starts to dawn on him.
But only just a little. He's still confused about one thing. ]
[He positively beams, laughing into the kiss at Matt's exuberance. He must be thoroughly intoxicated to be initiating "PDA," as he puts it. But Elfangor is certainly not complaining, and gladly takes this opportunity to engage in some tonsil-hockey, before pulling back with a grin.]
[And if he makes you uncomfortable at all, Other-Matt, he doesn't notice, as he is far too distracted by his Matt's happiness.]

Allen has to resist the urge to rub his temples a bit, Matt. The last time he saw you you were giggling like an idiot, and now...
Sigh. He kind of blames you for what... er... happened that night, too. Mostly Alan, but also you.
Pretending the drunkeness isn't there because sure, it's a question he's wondered, too, and eventually the other will be sober again. And actually, he... is even less sure how old he is now...]
