[week 18, day 2] arrival -- accidental video
[The Hitomi feed clicks on, revealing a white-haired man--who's obviously turned it on by accident. His right eye is visible, a brilliant shade of green, and his hair falls over and hides the other one completely. His expression is deeply interested with a side of vague puzzlement, and he turns the Hitomi this way and that, eventually flipping it over, showing everyone he's wearing plain pants of some kind of slightly rough-looking material, and shoes that look well-worn, but still sturdy.] ...the hell is this thing? [The words are spoken in a mutter; apparently he's used to speaking to himself.
He flips the thing back; it shows he's looking at his surroundings now--a bamboo forest. Kannagara residents may recognize it as the forest in Himorogi.] Tch. At least it's a pleasant place to wake up in... but where the hell am I? I was crossing a mountain... [He bends a little; the Hitomi feed shows nothing but his coat, but a sound can be clearly heard--something like wood sliding around and knocking into more wood. He straightens up again, and starts walking at an easy, comfortable pace; he seems to be more interested in exploring his new surroundings than anything else. Eventually, he rounds one last stand of bamboo, and sees... a tree.
No, a Tree. Something this grand deserves the capitalization. He lets out a low whistle as he looks up... and up...] ...like that cedar, the one with the Satorigi in it... about as big, anyway. Hunh.
[Walking closer to it, he bends down again--more wooden clunking/shifting noises--and he settles down in the grass beneath the tree with a sigh. From all appearances, though it's hard to see exactly what he's doing from the way he's holding the Hitomi... he appears to be about to take a nap. At least, he's lying down in the grass.] Haaa, nice and peaceful.
