[She was originally just going to overlook this, because she doesn't really care about what the Celestials think of her, but she hears the word 'work' and is suddenly very interested.]

Oh, is there work? What kind of work is it? And does it pay well?

[Yes, it always comes down to money. She has a home to build for herself, and she needs to save up as much as she can.]

[ That is most definitely a dragon.

A talking dragon. Asking about work.

Kakashi just stares for a moment at the video, half-believing it's an illusion or some kind of transformation or jutsu. Either that, or he's going insane. ]

You're a dragon.

[ Deadpan.

A question, maybe. ]

[She just sighs at that.]

Yes, I am a dragon. Honestly, why do you humans continue to be amazed by that? I have been here for over a month, you really should be used to it by now.

[She's just a bit miffed at it, because that seems to be everyone's reaction to seeing her.]

[ Kakashi isn't really amazed, so much as he is a little surprised. He's certainly interacted with giant talking creatures before, but a dragon is new to him; especially one that isn't somehow at the beck and call of a human shinobi. ]

I take it you aren't someone's pet.

[ Drawled. ]

Well, I'm glad someone is speaking up. You'd think we were plague victims or something.

And you be careful in Yomisato, Mister Kakashi. Someone tried to assault someone there a couple of weeks ago. Before the trouble, I mean. I saw it over the network.

Ah, is that so? I'll be sure to keep an eye out then.

[ All too lightly, as though he's not even a little bit concerned. ]

[Amelia nods]

If you see them, be sure to make sure they regret their villainous ways, Mister Kakashi.

[ His eye arcs gently. ]

I'll be sure to do that, Amelia-chan~

Ah, what have you been up to, hmm?

Oh, the Yomisato folks don't give a flying fuck out of anything as long as there's gold.

'Course, they are more likely to kill you. So I don't think it's for the wusses, you know.

Ah, well, it isn't even like you can really die in this world.... So I don't suppose that is too bad.

They probably did to a certain extent if a... notice-- (Because he has no idea what else to call it)-- was written.

Anyway, what kind of jobs are offered?

[Audio] ura_no_ura December 19 2010, 23:41:36 UTC
Ah, construction work and hard labor, mostly.

[ Kakashi pauses here for a moment. ]

About the other thing you said...do you mean to suggest that we needed someone else to speak for us?

[Audio] colaisnotcoffee December 20 2010, 21:46:21 UTC
Yes and no. If a group of foreigners came to your town, village, or city with abilities you've never seen before, would you be wary of them or no?

[Audio] ura_no_ura December 21 2010, 03:34:38 UTC
That all depends on the abilities and what they are doing with them.

[ He's going to just leave out the fact that his village is a military stronghold and that travel into the village is tightly regulated -- no one would be able to enter the village easily, undetected -- or allowed to stay without permission. ]

I must say it's a fairly modest effort but it helps to know not everyone is out to purge us from their cities.

Well, Yomisato doesn't seem to care about our presence either way.

Alas that is a city slightly too unsavory for milady if she were to return again. If it were just myself I would be more than interested in relocating there.

Mm, personally I can't say I like this place all too much, but it seems to be less troublesome.
