[Week 15, Day 5][video][arrival]

[The hitomi picks up a young man, sitting on the ground and murmuring to himself.  He is scarred and muscular, though not overly buff--it is the build of a man who has gotten that way by necessity rather than by pumping iron for bulk, and the scars only attest to why that might have been.  Three knife scars decorate his face; perhaps that is why he is wearing an eye patch, though it covers his left eye completely.  Who knows--perhaps it is still there.  His head is bowed and his hands are folded in prayer, and he doesn't realise that he's been brought from one location to another.]

Sé do bheatha, a Mhuire,
atá lán de ghrásta,
Tá an Tiarna leat.
Is beannaithe thú idir mná,
Agus is beannaithe toradh do bhroinne, Íosa.
A Naomh-Mhuire, a Mháthair Dé,
guigh orainn na peacaigh,
anois, agus ar uair ár mbáis.

[He recites the Hail Mary in one of his two native tongues, Irish Gaelic.  It is a conscious choice to use that language, as he's slipped into using Japanese even in his off time, as it's the language his whole team has in common and also of the place they live in.  He also speaks in German quite frequently, Rosenkreuz made sure that was easy for him to speak.  He prays to the Virgin to intercede for him, because he cannot repent for his sins.  He knows all too well that repentance requires regret and a genuine desire to do better...he has neither.  He finishes his prayers and opens his eye, and a soft gasp falls from his lips.  He looks around and spots the hitomi, which he picks up curiously as he continues to look around where he is.  A meadow of some sort, and apparently in the middle of nowhere.  But where in the middle of which nowhere?  And how did he get here?]

Hello?

[If it is something to do with the Virgin...perhaps his prayers are finally being answered?  He's done God's will his entire life.  His entire miserable, blood-stained life, he's spent doing God's dirty work, testing the sinners that stain His flock and giving them one last chance to taste the bitter tang of regret so that they might -truly- repent, purifying them by pain so they might see heaven when he finally gives them the release of death.  He's come to find joy in it, in a twisted little way.  He takes pride in his work, and he's found friends as a result of this life.  This is why he can't repent--he's done nothing but what he's been called to do.  He hates that God has put him in this catch-22, but yes, the Virgin would find a way to save him from it.]

[Or Schuldig is pranking him again.  This could be the work of a telepath, creating a world in someone's mind is hardly difficult, or at least it isn't according to how Schuldig tells it.  Then again, the German may have pranked him many times, but he's always respected his prayers.  He'd have to wait and see who was around.]
