[There is a dark skinned, dark haired
man staring at a cow on the Hitomi's screen. He looks from the cow, to the Hitomi, and back again. There's a herd of cattle actually, and the man is standing among them wearing a rather revealing white tunic and black pants. His arms are crossed

If there's one constant he still finds a way to smile in some way some how through all of it.]
There sort of aren't any more cows around. That we know of. You'll have to excuse people.
[He'll look happier when...
...
Actually, Allen glances up for a moment in some very clear seriousness, realizing he's still sitting in a cave huddled up with Raikou and the others. And with all of this going on and (crap, really, maybe he should be resting like they all said, but he has to get out there now)-
...
You know he had been smiling. Not happily, but...
Somehow he'd forgotten the last time that happened. Not that he keeps track. It probably hadn't been long. It's just hard to remember what happened before this whole invasion.
And because of that he's quiet for a moment. And a bit guilty. What the heck.
And Allen turns a bit of a flat look back on the Hitomi, not quite sure what to expect.]
Your 'family' have been busy, you know.
[Because somehow he seems like you're not aware yet and...
... he doesn't quite know how to take that. He doesn't quite know how to take Road yet because he had been honestly believing in her able to be... well, more than the Noah in her.
It hurts a bit.]

[But what he does have is people sense and street smarts--a mix of cleverness and intuition that serves him well. And it doesn't take that much keen intuition to put together the idea that he's certainly missed some interesting developments.]
[Walker's unhappy expressions--more strained than the last time they talked. Back then it was just confused, determined, angry at times. Now there's certainly more to it. And Road and the Earl together, not a pair to be confined in a place like this lightly, or to be idle.]
[For the first time since greeting the cows he really looks around. Oh the pasture is fine, somehow. A little haven.]
[Beyond?]
[He can feel the Akuma. If he reached with his mind he could speak to them. Perhaps later he will. They can be ever so useful in catching one up to things. But more importantly, they weren't around before. And in such numbers now? He really has missed some great tragedy.]
[Or perhaps he's just arrived after the first act.]
[He smiles at the camera, calm and lazy.] Have they? And they didn't even invite me. Well, I'm sure no one will mind if I sit this out--wouldn't want to hog all the fun.
[Not that he really plans to sit it out at all. But it's fun to tease. Maybe he won't get involved--he can be terribly lazy--but more likely than not the Boss will have some task for him to do. That slave driver.]
And a man needs a nap, now and then. Can't let the godcows get lonely, after all.

[No, no more cows then. But his throat is a little dry.
And even in the lull he had with you before and Road... Road until so very recently...
It makes him uncomfortable. Allen sees you as human on so many levels, all of you, but especially you and Road
But those words - they do set his teeth a bit on edge and he's aware more of the situation, leaning forward a bit.
See, Tyki. He's aware as the seconds slip by and his initial boggling over your re-arrival slip in... this is...
Separate the sin from the sinner.
After all, Allen is also a sinner.
Allen desperately wanted with Road to see her able to mingle with normal humans. Well. And dragons. The term was loose. Shouldn't that help? Aren't they all human?
.. Shouldn't that help?
His jaw works tightly for a moment, emotions high but keeping them in line.
Shit, he feels like he missed you all of a sudden. The only person from his world for a brief time, and then another brief time after Lenalee came.
That's not the way it's supposed to be.]
I'm sure you can't.
[Letting is all go with a sigh - it's almost easy, even if he's still a little grim-faced.
He wanted to be able to see Road and... well, by proxy, all the Noah able to... If some believed in gods here as such...
Damnit, why couldn't they all see that and be themselves, not enemies?
Screw Noah.
And Allen scoffs a little to the side. It's no time for posturing anyway and... ... Tyki hardly counts. And maybe some of his comrades are panicking now, thinking they have to stop the newly arrived Noah.
Allen's... both certain and not. He would be almost completely certain were it not for Road and the Earl taking actions against his friends.
As such... he's a little uncertain as he looks down at the Hitomi. And it's a fleeting pang, a scoff still at... well, you're scoffing a bit at him.
He's already decided formally he ultimately cares. So screw that. Even with... recent events, Tyki, you might fall under his list of people to destroy but save... the key is in the 'but.' Failing before? Fine. He can grudgingly, painfully accept that. But it's not going to repeat. He's going to ferret out the human part of you and that's that.
Or he'll die trying.]
Try not to get yourself killed. [And really, he does smile, if a little grim. He has gotten older; even he realizes this.] It's a dangerous time right now.
[Pft. Welcome back to Kannagara, Tyki. Have an unsure Exorcist frowning over how he feels about this particular Noah come back.
He just wishes it all could be different for so many reasons. For all of them.]

[Things really had changed a bit since he'd last seen Allen--still felt like just yesterday that they'd talked. But if it had been just yesterday, he would have expected Allen to get determined, or even flail a bit, or perhaps yell or glare.]
[Kids really seemed to grow up fast whenever you stopped looking. Except for Road but she... Well she was her own category and exception.]
My my lad, don't be so concerned.
[He smiled lazily in the face of Allen's words and reactions.]
I'm well able to handle myself.
[As Allen should know. Then again. This place was odd to begin with.]
Besides, it sounds like we have some catching up to do.
[When this is all over. Assuming it's ever all over. Tyki doesn't mind one way or another. He enjoys the simple, quiet, human life. But if he's to be thrust into the side of blood and massacre, well. He enjoys that too.]
[As far as he's concerned it hardly matters here. This place is too enclosed and too invasive to allow much hope of keeping his white and black sides separate for long in either case.]

And wary. But he smiles a little; the pokerface, the smile that's everything not really a smile. If the Earl is here...
He supposes he might see you sooner rather than later. It's a little sad, a little sobering. And probably, if recent events are an indication... it won't be good for his health, either.
Allen truly would just rather be able to have another game of cards someday - in some world. Just probably not this one. ... Or theirs.]
I suppose so.
[You know it's... almost funny. Because if anything, finding out what Road was doing carte blanche now? ... It's disappointing. It's feeling like there was a lot done for naught, and Allen's not the sort to believe in anything being for naught. And he still has to believe... almost especially with seeing (gah, he really was, wasn't he?) Tyki here... he has to believe in it all still being redeemable.
Everyone is redeemable.
Everyone human, that is. The Earl's not, and that's where he draws a very firm, bitter line. One that...
...
No, it's not something he'll question. The Earl stays as the black part of his mind. Whiteface to Auguste.]
Not that it's a lot of catching up you'd be interested in, I imagine.
[And maybe this place makes them all grow up a little faster. Not that he wasn't already fastracking on that before Kannagara.]

[Of course he enjoys his white life. The idea of a rematch with Allen appeals to him. At poker, of course. But, well. With the Boss around and active, things might not be simple any more.]
[And that's fine with Tyki too. After all, if you can't be evil, life just isn't as fun. The black side makes the white all the sweeter, and the white provides balance for the black. He has to be careful not to lose his white side, but... Pushing the balance is fun too.]
[At least this all promises to be amusing. Interesting. More exciting than he'd hoped.]
[And hey, if the Boss ever gives him time off, maybe he and Road can cook up another plot for the Exorcists. Like the Ark. Just for old time's sake.]
After all, I might surprise you.
Reply
Perhaps.
[Noah are anything but everything he doesn't expect them to be half the time.]
But I don't really see the need to fill you in on things just so you can throw them back in my face.
