[Kallen makes no attempt to get up from the ground she finds herself laying on upon awakening. It’s uncomfortable and she’s getting dirt in her hair and on her clothes, but she’s still too tired to move and do something about it. If she’s noticed the change in location (or that she’s being recorded), she doesn’t make any indication of it.]
I must have fallen asleep in class again….
[Finally, after a few more minutes she gets up again and starts to walk around. Her expression is one of disinterest, though she does think that more places should look like this. It’s strangely beautiful here.
And then she just stops walking and looks down at her hand. She wasn’t holding anything before, and yet, suddenly she finds herself holding…. something. She’s not familiar with the device and she just stares at it for a few moments before she starts pressing buttons to figure out how it works and her expression briefly changes from disinterest to curiosity. But the disinterest is back once she gets the video to work, and her tone of voice doesn’t make her seem any more interested than her expression.]
I don’t suppose there’s someone here that can tell me what’s going on? Or at the very least what this thing is.
[A sigh, and a small frown. The next part is directed more to herself than to anybody else.]
Is a normal, peaceful life really too much to ask for?
