[ Hibari had been asleep. Too exhausted from all the walking and moving he'd done at the festival that day, chest and shoulder aching, to stay awake very late. He guesses he fell asleep soon after they had come home. Initially, he's unsure as to why he's actually up; at least until he hears the voice from both the living room and the Hitomi. Reaching for it, he plays the dream, making sure not to touch the Hitomi as it plays itself to the very end, Hibari setting it down soon after.

Not lazy -- for once -- he actually gets out of bed with a sigh, body stiff. Sliding the door to his room opened, he leaned against the frame, not yet moving out into the living room. Hibari said nothing at first, waiting. ]

Do you miss it? [ Them. Being home. Miss it the way he misses Namimori. ]

[Did he... Fran has to think about that for a second. Leaning back on the couch, curled up with his pillows and rather large blanket pile, he isn't sure what to say to that. It takes him a few moments of consideration, thinking back and comparing it to now.]

Yeah. I guess so. They weren't that bad once things became habit. Even Senpai and his creepy knives. The pain kinda just goes numb after it happens so many times.

[ After a moment, Hibari forces himself away from the wall, taking a minute to actually walk over to the couch and sit down on it, keeping a decent distance from Fran. With a slow exhale, he closes his eyes. So maybe he's stiff, but that short distance wasn't so bad, now was it? ]

Almost odd how different Varia is from the rest of the Vongola.

[Of course, Fran will be having none of that personal space thing Hibari seems to enjoy. He shifts his pillows and blankets to curl up in a pile half way on Hibari's lap.]

Yeah. They really are. They don't like the rest of the Vongola either. Except you. Some of them have respect for you because they say you're the only one worth any time out of them. And Master I guess. But they don't really consider him as an actual part of Vongola.

...no idea why I decided to do the action in smallfont up there. 8|a resigns October 4 2010, 00:50:11 UTC
[ Which he mostly expected to happen anyway, but at least he was able to get into a comfortable position before his lap is taken over yet again. Hibari drapes an arm across Fran's side, resting his head against the back of the couch. ]

Hm. I don't mind the Varia, they're useful in the situations they bother to involve themselves in.

XD habit? top_magician October 4 2010, 01:00:14 UTC
[The position itself is comforting to Fran on levels that Hibari might not even be aware of. Especially the arm over his side. He cuddles down against the pillow, and Hibari, before speaking up again.]

They can be. Pretty sure they think the same thing about you too Hibari-san. Well. Except Levi-san. But he doesn't count. He doesn't have many opinions of his own because he's a tool.

Pretty much. XD resigns October 4 2010, 01:11:07 UTC
[ Fran's movement makes Hibari shift a little as well, getting a bit more comfortable on the couch. He'd initially been cold when he left his room and the warmth of his bed to come out there, but the blankets and the heat from Fran's body was enough to compensate.

He lets a smirk slip when the insult is said. ]

Most people who use Lightning Flames are.

[Fran nods, rather content with his position now but he cuddles just a bit closer for the hell of it.]

Yeah. You'd think they'd be better. Given the properties and all. Ah. But. Gamma was useful. He was a good lightning guardian. Too bad Vongola can't have one like that.

[ It takes a moment, but Hibari eventually moves his arm enough to curl it around Fran a little more instead of just letting it rest there. Hibari's rather surprised at how easy it feels, doing this. ]

Instead we're stuck with two idiots.

[That simple movement causes Fran to curl just a little closer, his deadpan slipping into something a little more on the neutral side.]

Yeah. Funny how that works. Maybe the Vongola just has bad luck. Cause there's got to be better ones out there. But. I guess. They can be useful for some things. Levi-san is powerful. He's a member of Varia after all. He's just kinda really stupid and creepily obsessed with Boss. I think Boss should look into a restraining order one of these days if it keeps up.

[ Hibari closes his eyes once he finally relaxes a bit more, exhaling slowly. ]

There are better people, but the Vongola Tenth is soft and has those people around him for more personal reasons, rather than their strengths. If it was about power, he wouldn't have a child like Lambo or an idiot like the Storm Guardian. At least the Varia possesses power in every member.

But think about it Hibari-san. I heard Lambo can conduct a lightning bolt through his body without major damage. Levi-san can't even accomplish that much. And the bomb brat is just as good at battle strategy as Bel-senpai is, they're on pretty equal footing. The main difference between Varia and main is the personalities. Vongola doesn't seem like much, but when they get pushed too far their potential is just a bit more obvious. Some things are just harder to notice from outward appearances. They were a bunch of kids while Varia had been cut throat assassins since we were very young. Both have strengths, both have weaknesses. Then again. I was never really one for the whole rivalry thing. Guess cause I wasn't around back during the Ring Battle fiasco I've heard about.

[ He knows Fran has a point; after all, they wouldn't have successfully beat the Varia (or any of their other opponents) without the skills each of them possessed. But that doesn't stop him from being rather harsh in judging the other members of the family.

Although the memory of the Ring Battle has Hibari smiling; that was, still, one of the more challenging fights he's had to this day. ]

You're correct. [ His smile soon forms into a smirk. ] And I suppose if they were serious all the time, I'd not be able to bite them to death.

Exactly. The more annoying they are the more fun you have because there's more excuses to beat them up right? Everyone wins. Well. Not them. They're mostly kinda scared of you. Which is probably very healthy.

[Fran shifts positions again, one arm slipping out from under his pillow to wrap around Hibari's waist instead. Just a bit more comfortable, a bit closer.]

It is healthy; someone needs to instill fear in them. Sawada certainly doesn't do it. They would never get anything done.

[ Hibari's surprised that Fran's movement doesn't have him on edge. He's (mostly) become accustomed to the physical tendencies and has adapted fairly well, in his opinion. There were instances, of course, where Hibari would want space and push Fran off, but for the most part he was shockingly tolerant.

He can't help but freeze, briefly, when Fran's arm moves around his waist, wary if only because of his injuries. The arm around Fran's waist tightens a bit, holding him just that much closer. ]

Not going to let go for the rest of the night, are you? [ And yet he doesn't seem bothered by the fact. ]

[Fran's first response to that question is of course to curl a bit closer. He likes the contact. Familiar, but in a way that makes him almost want to question it. Another time though.]

No. I hadn't planned on it. You're comfortable Hibari-san. Not my fault.
