[There is the greeter of Himorogi, that tree almost everyone wakes to, and, sitting before it, a man in blue, dark head bowed. One leg is bent at the knee, while the other is tucked under it. The dark trench across his shoulders is only slightly ruffled, most likely, from his position. For a while, all is still, nothing daring to break the

So it really shouldn't surprise him, seeing him here.
But it does.
And isn't this the part where he should be annoyed because the Colonel's stuck here with them now too? Because surely he'll be subjected to all manner of short jokes and have to put up with his smug attitude and his womanizing and...
...But the pettiness doesn't come as it should. The annoyance, the grumpiness, the face-off that by all logic and prior experience he should be having (where the hell is his smartass comment already?), it's...that reaction just isn't there.]

There's...something off about him. Something heavy, tired. His expression isn't cocky or smug and his eyes seem...dull, haunted almost. The fire in them is missing.
It's a look he's only seen a semblance of once before, when he was telling him about Marcoh. But it's different this time, weaker. More burdened than he'd been even then. The last time Ed saw him, there had been no reason for Mustang to look like this.
But then again, he's learned that time doesn't make sense here. He's met someone from nearly a century in the future and even Winry is from a time later on than him.]
Colonel.
[It's a little subdued, if only because he's not sure what to expect. He's not sure he wants to even know what's gotten the famous Flame Alchemist in a state like this.]
It's called a Hitomi. This place is known as Kannagara.
[For now, he holds off on asking questions of his own.]

The look on Ed's face... really. Did the kid want to hurt his pride?
But it's more than just the look... his entire face. It looks younger. Roy remembers seeing him, remembers how much he's grown, even if he will always be the kid. It's not just the flattening out of those baby cheeks or the narrowing of his eyes. There's less weight there, still a bit of that innocent gleam that's there in the eyes of a kid full of dreams, a kid still young. This isn't the Ed he saw staring him down, the Ed that helped bring him back from that edge.]
Kannagara, huh? [There's that wry smirk again.]
Well, now I know I'm dreaming. It's been a while since I had to look so far down. [Yeah. He's purposely holding the Hitomi lower just so he can make that ( ... )

[--A little bit of that immaturity slips through, and Ed is surprised to find himself almost glad for it. Despite that look in his eyes, that weight that seems out of place on him, the fact that he can still get under his skin that easy (bastard) means that he's still the same Colonel. Whatever's happened, he's still there under that weight, the dulled eyes.]
Hmph. It's not a dream, unfortunately. Unless dreams can last almost a month, at any rate. Speaking of which...the Hitomi suppsedly broadcasts them. The dreams, I mean.
And no, I don't know how that's possible. At least...not yet.
[Because he still thinks he can find the answers, if he looks hard enough. Ed's not used to being told that science doesn't have a answer for everything.]

[Have a Break waving enthusiastically at you from the Hitomi. Yes he's decided to change his act a bit since routine can get stale very quickly.]

How quaint. My dreams even have official greeters.

So she decides to try to goad him into talking. At the very least he might prove to be an interesting person.]
It is rather foolish of you, to not believe in something that is right in front of you.
[Truthfully she doesn't have much room to talk here: she was very dismissive of many things in this land when she first arrived. But if nobody brings that up, then she won't address it either.]

Envy... Envy could change shapes. Did he not die, then? No, that can't be. He watched him die.
This is a dream, something he created in his mind. Never mind he can't remember when he fell asleep, when he lost his grip on reality. It's the scientific explanation. People just don't randomly appear in strange places like this. And there aren't creatures like this, either, chimera aside.]
Seeing isn't always believing.

Yes, but burying your head in the dirt and ignoring what is right in front of you is a very quick way to be killed. Honestly, I thought you humans were supposed to be smart.
[She might be speaking condescendingly here, just a little bit.]

[ Almost immediately, Roy is greeted with a suggestive, smirking face on the Hitomi's screen. He's managed to catch the witch's attention with his declaration of disbelief, his refusal of reality. There's something else about this man she can't quite place, either, something just beneath the surface, and this intrigues her.
And when C.C. is intrigued, the other party is doomed for trouble. ]
I take it you recently entered this world?

Time to charm a pretty young lady. That's his dashing smirk. He can put out of mind her unnaturally green hair.]
You could say that.
And you're the goddess who brought me here? [... Maybe he should have worked on that one.]

But of course. Don't I look like one?
[ She leans into the lens of the Hitomi, granting Roy a pleasant view of her chest. ]
Let's not be strangers, though. Who are you?

Who am I...?
Did you forget the name of a lowly mortal, Lady Goddess?
