[For most of the dream Fran simply watches with idle curiosity, Hitomi in hand. He's good enough at masking himself not to be affected even at the more intimate parts of it. The beginning did confuse him though. He had never understood why someone could be so attached to a place like that. But that was probably because he never had a home himself. Must have been different when you were born and raised somewhere.

The part with Master, that surprises him a little bit too. Though not so much. He did, after all, see those bunnies that Hibari had. So he should have expected it. Chrome too. He seemed to like Chrome a lot given how many times she appeared in his dream.

Tsuna starts talking and already Fran feels himself growing bored. He wonders if there's a rewind button so he can go back to the part with Master tied up. That was interesting. He's almost about to fiddle with the Hitomi to try and do just that when he stops. And simply stares.

What. The. Hell. Now he really wishes there was a rewind button. Instead of doing the polite ( ... )

[ It takes him a moment, still groggy from waking up so suddenly. At least until he glances to his side and notices the end of his dream playing on the screen, and then the video flicks on with that damn voice and fuck-

Hibari picks up the Hitomi, trying to look as disinterested as possible, but the irritated twitch in his left eye gives him away rather easily. ]

I will kill you.

[Fran puts his hands up in defense, the video shifting as it falls to the ground instead of him holding it. He's still visible at least, just a bit more of the tree is now as well along with his Varia jacket and hat laying on the ground next to him.]

Not my fault. It came up automatically.

[He's tempted to comment on a few particular aspects of the dream but for the sake of his life he's just gonna refrain for the moment.]

[ He looks a little less ruffled after a moment, but his passive face takes on a rather intense glare; one to probably rival Xanxus, in the long run. ]

What did you see? [ And if you lie, I'll bite you to death is left unsaid, but Hibari figures such a statement is implied at this point. ]

[ This is an old story re-told and shifted with illusions in the telling, and Chrome feels the barest of shivers at the base of her spine. Mouth dry. She watches. Experiences. The hands, the mouth, the body heat. Nothing she has not known before. During those years when they lay side by side, single-bed hotel rooms, darkness above and moonlight outside and Mukuro-sama between them like a whisper, like a wreath of smoke. Hibari who had frightened her (but she did not back down) and who had angered her, and who had held her by the shoulders, his hands on the black fabric of her business suit. An old story. The way she had shivered, and not from fear. Never from fear, in the long run.

There is always a trickle of perspiration on the back of her neck at these thoughts. Glimpses of memories. With the one always between them, inside of her like a throb of heart. With Hibari attempting to dig him out, kiss him out, bite his way into her. Him. The both of them. His brutal, uncompromising touches. And Chrome had wanted it like punishment. ( ... )

[ When the feed begins, Chrome is lying in her bed, expression contemplative, finger tracing figure-eights over the mattress. It's a nice, large bed. The room is shadowed. She is still not feeling so well, but. Better, somehow. Even with this broadcast. After everything else --

After everything. People know now. Most of the story. And the rest. Well, Mist is not an element known for truthfulness, is it? Perhaps there are multiple stories, and perhaps this is merely another, differing only in the telling.

But there is something she wishes to know. ]

Do you miss it, Hibari-san?

[ Measured. Cautious. Mindful of their past. ]

[ He's not surprised in the least to see her appear on the Hitomi, at least not entirely. He had more expected for her to contact him later, if only because of her current... discomfort.

Hibari avoids looking down at the Hitomi for the time being, barely illuminated by the moon casting a white light across only parts of his face and chest. It's a difficult question; so he responds the best way he knows how. ]

Miss what, exactly? [ Because side-stepping it is easier than answering directly. ]

[ She doesn't entirely know, either. And it's a funny thing. She's always felt both she and Hibari were well-schooled in being direct without ever actually being so. Brief to the point of bluntness, but somehow evasive. ]

That life, I guess.

[ What else would he miss? Her? No, she would not ask that. Too personal. It was not as if they had chosen to be together in the first place. ]

You have loyalties. A place you call home.

[ And, well, she would side-step it, too, but so does she, doesn't she? It's just that this place is beside a certain person. And Hibari. Maybe Hibari stands alone. ]

[ As soon as the video feed opens, Hibari glares down at it. Bad mood? Just got a little bit worse. ]

What are you doing?

[He starts out watching it with the Hitomi propped up against the wall - experimentation has taught him that as long as you aren't touching the thing, it doesn't seem to be able to hijack his mind. So he watches it this way until the very end, cautious. When it's over he goes and flips through the network list, more inane posts by inane people. It is a deeply boring network experience overall.

When he is finished, he fiddles with his tuft for a few minutes, attempting to arrange the spikes to his liking.

Then he goes back, and watches the dream again - although since he holds the Hitomi now, watch is not quite the word.

When he is finished, and his white-knuckled grip on the Hitomi can relax, he is forced to admit, in between pleased shudders, that as horrendously and disgustingly invasive as that experience is, at least it isn't boring.

LATE ASS TEXT resigns October 9 2010, 10:44:24 UTC
[ When he receives the text, sees who it's from, Hibari actually ignores it for the night. Too exhausted to even bother with bullshit at such late hours.

Except that a few hours later, after dealing with Fran and all of the crap. More shit on top of this. That's when he answers. Makes sure it's late, too early to be considered morning and too late to be thought of as middle of the night. Enough that Mukuro's probably gone to bed and in a decent state of sleep.

Hibari smirks, types, uncaring of the disruption he might give. ]

Not particularly. Your taste in students is quite obvious.|
