[ Ill mood, Chrome is in an ill mood.
First, there was the awkwardness with Gokudera -- which is not, in and of itself, so terrible. She is used to his bursts of grouchiness. Once upon a time, he had caused her to cry with the sharpness of his moods. Now, Chrome is more inclined to clench her jaw and shrug her shoulders. Leave him to himself. But she cannot shake the sense that this more than a little fit of petulance. She feels as if the other two Guardians are -- well, she had been the one to distance herself in the first place, had she not? But now there are four of them again, and she suspects old tensions are returning, and she really hopes her intuition is wrong there, because she wants no part of that.
But really, she's in an ill mood more immediately because she lost her job. Still a little numb to that fact. Although she guesses she did deserve it, what with the forging fake money and . . . taking more goods than she could rightly afford, like candy for Yachiru or baseball supplies for Yamamoto.
This last instance had simply gone too far. ]
