[A big amount of dark aura... Naoto grabs her katana again to try slicing this stupid nerve-wrecking tool into pieces for literally the hundredth time, straight! This piece of junk just managed to screw with her like this, making her even invade other people's privacy

He's trying to stop laughing and speak.]
It's good to know I'm not the only one caught having a tantrum like that. Cutting the thing up with a katana doesn't help, as I'm sure you realized too... but it does seem to like catching us doing it.

Blinks.
Wait... did he say... not the only one? Feels somewhat relieved as words process through her mind slowly. She is beginning to get out of her initially shocked state.]
Tries to smile as best as she can. After noticing the katana, her mood begins to change from the distraction.]
W-well, this junk is the real nightmare here. Oh and, I'm sorry that you had to have the same problem. Didn't it even crack a little when you did the same thing, then?

[Gau blinks, staring at his Hitomi like it's a living thing. He had thought they'd all react the same way.]
No, mine got cut in half, but just disappeared and reappeared again. Maybe it was a malfunction, like how it's been freaking out when people show up today?
[He tilts his head, frowns a little.]
(OOC: Aaaand if he tries to cut it open again, it's not going to work. Because the mun oops'd. >> )

[Eye twitches as the grip on Hitomi tightens.]
... seems to regenerate immediately... as if it's a living thing. I swear it has something against me.
[Thinks for a brief moment.]
Now that you mention it... It's indeed happened, and I kind of gave up on expecting that to stop. But I'd be glad if it malfunctioned and disappeared completely.
[She wanted to snark at her last sentence.]
That katana... May I ask... if... you used it before coming... here as well?
[She just couldn't stop her curiosity at the sight of the weapon...]

Yes.
[There's a pause, and he doesn't look at the Raikou standing inside the house, watching him. He won't.]
I am a samurai of the Shimizu clan. And you?
Reply
Fuyumine Naoto! I am a samurai as well, though I don't belong anywhere. Pleased to meet you!
[A small, easy-to-miss-if-not-careful smile for introduction.]

Ah! I'm sorry, I didn't properly introduce myself. I am Meguro Gau. It's very nice to meet you, Fuyumine-san!
[He pauses, and he's very curious and not sure if he should ask or not. So he offers a sheepish smile and does it anyway.]
Does that mean you're self-taught?

A slight pause before talking.]
Well, in the place where I've come from, it's a given that you learn how to survive yourself. Though, I still became a swordsman on my own decision. Have you been thought how to use it in your world?
[She was becoming intrigued by this conversation, now she really is.]

Mentally, he's taking everything down.]
The sword, yes, I was trained to by two different samurai, in the course of my life. One was my partner with a ninja organization, the other was his sister. I introduce myself as being 'of the Shimizu clan' because they... offered me that title, so to speak.
[There's another bit of curiosity there, what this new Raikou feels about such things. His own Raikou would have wanted it, and the Raikou he first knew here (who he always thought of as his own, until now) had said that it was only proper.
His smile slips a little.]
Before that, I employed knives mostly, but it was only after a couple of years of training that I became truly "good" with those as well.

Notices him observing her, but doesn't get any negative vibes from that, so far.]
Even though I have also had a few other people around me, they were mostly there for... somewhat observing. I was told that the only way to improve better was learning myself, when I was little.
[Pauses before continuing. It seems this guy also is into the same combat styles, if he started with knives as well.]
I used to practice knife combats as well. Though more than practice, it had to be real applications, most of the time.

I started with knives on my own. I first picked one up to avenge the death of my mother, and had no one to teach me, then.
[He shrugs his shoulders, just a little, though there's a dark look in his eyes. He has never quite forgiven his own failure, there, though Raikou rescued him and killed the man. It had been his responsibility, and he hadn't been strong enough.
Now, that man would be no problem, would fall before his sword easily.]
Later, I was surrounded by ninja, and so had plenty of examples to emulate.
