[It hasn't passed by unnoticed. Rin has seen the lack of Allen's icon on her Hitomi. So really, she should've been braced for this. It's only the truth given words and name.
And yet, it comes with a bit of a pang, and it saddens her. Even if she hasn't been all that great to begin with, but it's been an impassive sort of thing: these days, she is carrying with her a sort of dull melancholy. It takes the edge of most things, at least a little.
Still, it seems she'll always find herself capable of new, strong emotion, springing forth from where it's been resting deep within.
It's with noticeable sadness that she speaks -- though she tries, really tries, to keep it out.]
Hmm, I haven't seen him on the Hitomi. Not his name with which to contact him.
[And then another, darker possibility dawns on her her.]
Though perhaps -- perhaps his Hitomi has been taken from him.
Can it even be taken? Considering how it repairs itself and can't be left behind, I dunno why anyone would be able t'take it from ya, if the gods really want us to have it so badly.
Hmm... [Did she, now? Not an unwarranted question.] I don't know if I'd say I knew him well. Certainly not as well as you, I imagine. But he's one of the people I've known the longest, here in Kannagara.
Now I wonder how much he's really let me in. [Bit of a laugh, with more warmth now.] We seemed to agree on a lot of things, and I think we worked pretty well together! As a team on the welcoming newcomers thing.
[He's not going to elaborate on that, but he really does. He knows there are so many things troubling Allen, so many things going on for him, and yet he never really tells anyone about them. It's something Lavi hates, but he's never been great with making him talk either.
Lenalee was always the one good at that, and not even she could get through sometimes. It was really, truly frustrating.]

I guess he's not the kind ya normally get t'know all that easily.

[Something she only really realizes now that Lavi prompts it, but it fits with what she does know of Allen.]

[And here she'd assumed Lavi was close to Allen.]
