Jan 28, 2010 17:12

Title: Devotion
Fandom: Persona 4
Pairing: Yosuke/Souji
Summary: Yosuke's a city boy; since when has a city boy ever truly trusted and believed a stranger (especially another boy from the city) when they said something like, "Don't worrry," or "I'll protect you," let alone both? [it takes a while, but when it happens, there is nothing he wouldn't give to that person.]
For Gwen, who wanted Souji/Yosuke.

<<25. Devotion>>

The first time that Yosuke said he trusted Souji with his life, it was a half-truth: the boy had saved his life moments before, after all, and what else are you going to tell the only person willing to fight for and with you for everything you hold dear? But Yosuke hadn't really believed that Souji would take it to heart, he hadn't really belived that Souji would do everything he could just to protect him. But, then again, since when has the city boy ever truly trusted and believed a stranger (especially another boy from the city) when they said something like, "Don't worrry," or "I'll protect you," let alone both?

But when Souji summoned his Persona for the first time and raised his borrowed golf club against an enemy Shadow that was going to attack Yosuke, nearly losing his cool and yelling at the boy to get out of here, dammit! Yosuke decided that maybe, just maybe, he could actually trust this boy over all the others. So, the next time that he said anything that meant "I trust you" to Souji, he really meant it.

It wasn't too long after Yosuke could fight for himself and he was the one pushing Souji out of the way of the Shadows. It wasn't too long until Yosuke could feel himself slipping farther and farther away from who he had been before the transfer student appeared and then, suddenly, he realized that he'd been taking hits that could kill him just for Souji and surviving.

He was confused, but he couldn't lie to himself anymore - he'd almost killed Souji for that once and he would not do it again - so he would ask Souji to hang out and take him to his favorite spot in a once-hated town and confess. Only, his words didn't quite match what he felt but all he could think was I'd die for you and isn't that more than enough? How much more could he give before Souji would have all of him - how much could he give to Souji before he would be satisfied? How much longer would it take for Yosuke to tell Souji how far he is willing to go, how much of himself he is willing to give to Souji? (because, really, if Yosuke was being truthful with himself, he would give Souji absolutely everything and still want to give him more - he had given Souji all he could give and was still trying to give him more.)

Title: The Dojima Challenge
Fandom: Persona 4
Pairing: older!Nanako -> Souji
Summary: At Yasogami High, they say that the Amagi Challenge has nothing on the Dojima Challenge. ['is there anyone in the world who could possibly beat my brother?']

He'd thought she was joking. He'd thought that she would grow out of it. Even Freud had said it - young girls had this thing for their older, male, family members at one point in time or another. So when she'd promised to grow up and marry him, well, he hadn't thought anything of it.

“Souji-san! Souji-san, you came!”

He didn't think that she would remember, years later, either. Or that she would remind him when he came all the way back to Inaba just to wish her a happy birthday.

(and nobody could have prepared him to see her dressed in yukata and looking like a woman. Nobody.)

-

“Dojima-san, er, sir, um, well, I-” they'd stutter and turn bright red and try so very, very hard to forget that they were talking to one of the best detectives in Inaba. They'd stutter and turn bright red and blurt out the same question, over and over and over again. It was never anything different.

“Dojima-san, do I have your blessing to date Nanako-san?!”

He'd tell them the same thing, over and over and over again. It was never anything different. He said:

“If she'll have you, I can see no problems with it.”

He knew that she'd never accept them, but he ran background checks on the boys - just in case.

-

“Nanako-san, Nanako-san! W-will you, I mean, uh,” another boy who'd asked her father to date her. Another harmless, innocent, boring boy from Inaba.

Another boy who is not Seta Souji.

“Nanako-san,” he bows and blushes bright red just like all the others, “w-will you accept me as your boyfriend?”

She smiles sweetly and tilts her head to the side and wonders aloud, innocently:

“Is there any boy who could possibly win over onii-chan?”

The boy doesn't come back again.

(They say, at Yasogami High, that the Dojima Challenge is harder than the Amagi Challenge had been.)

-

Souji smiled and wrapped his arms around the cute girl in a pink yukata. “Of course I came.”

Nanako snuggled into his embrace. She'd hoped that he'd stay longer than he planned - and she smiled to herself when her eyes wandered over the bags that held much more than needed for one week.

(Souji realized for the first time that he'd left - he wanted her to call him 'onii-chan' again. Once she did that, everything would be all right. They'd be a family again, and wasn't that what they had wanted?)

Title: Emperor's Penalty
Fandom: Persona 4
Pairing: established Kanji/Naoto; implied Souji/Naoto
Summary: When Rise is King and she declares that there will be a penalty for whoever does not complete the order, it's expected that bad things would happen. But who knew that it would be a night with somebody else's lover? [Kanji-kun, this is Souji-senpai. Relax.]

“She - She's real shy, and stuff, so you gotta make sure to take care of her, yanno? Ask her if she likes what you're doin' a-and all that. Make sure to be real gentle with her, 'less she's tellin' ya she wants it harder, but even then make sure you're careful with her, yeah?”

Souji nodded, his face serious.

“A-and if she likes it, you'll know for sure, but she makes this cute little sound and digs her nails in deep - remember, she don't cut 'em too short anymore, so they're sharp - but she won't usually know what she's doin' even if she's some sorta genius and - well, senpai, she'll probably wanna have another round or two before she's completely satisfied.” Kanji looked embarrassed, yet somewhat proud.

“Oh! She'll want to be on top the first time, maybe use some props, but it ain't anything harmful, so don't worry - she's the most gentle dom there's ever been. Er, well, p-probably. I mean, I haven't really had anyone other than - well, anyway, just let her do what she wants for a bit, 'til she gets used to it.”

Souji nodded again, noticing how Kanji's face got simultaneously more red and pale as he kept speaking. He'd promise, if his mouth wasn't so dry.

“And, um, well - there's another--”

“Kanji-kun, relax.” Small, pale hands reached up and grabbed onto Kanji's shirt, the arms holding him tightly from behind. Even from a few feet away and on the other side of Kanji, Souji could tell Naoto was shaking. “This is Souji-senpai you're talking to, not Yosuke. I-It'll be fine, I promise.” Even though her voice wasn't shaking or betraying her nervousness, Souji could hear the softer tone in there.

Souji felt like he was intruding on their private moment - more so than he already would be - when Kanji turned in her embrace to pull her full against him and mumbling things he couldn't hear against Naoto's hair. When he looked up again, he met Souji's gaze with cold determination in his eyes.

“You'll be gentle with her?” Souji nodded. “You-You'll take good care of her?” Again. “You won't-”

“Kanji Tatsumi, I promise you: I will do everything in my power to ensure that Naoto-kun enjoys this evening. If she doesn't...” Souji hesitated, but continued anyway, “if Naoto-kun does not enjoy this evening, you may do whatever it is you wish to do to me as punishment.”

Kanji thought it over for a moment and looked like he wanted to disagree before Naoto stepped away from him and placed her small hands on his cheeks. “Kanji-kun, this is Souji-senpai. Do not take his promises lightly - I've not known him to break even the smallest, most insignificant vow.”

Steeling himself, Kanji nodded and reached up to squeeze Naoto's hands before stepping away. He grabbed his pack and headed for the door, pausing to glare at Souji before stepping outside.

“So, senpai, are you ready?” Naoto's smile was mischievous and almost reminded him of Nurse Sayoko for a moment. But then he nodded and she was all Naoto again, taking his hand and leading him to the master bedroom that she shared with Kanji.

When the door closed behind them and it was just the two of them and a basket full of condoms, toys and other things they were expected to use that night, Souji agreed with the statement Kanji had made when this all started: the King's Game with Penalties attached and Rise as the King was trouble.
