Kyle XY: an unexpected success in France

Oct 31, 2007 14:26

Seasons 1 and 2 of "Kyle XY" are airing in a row on W9, a French channel on TNT (Digital Terrestrial Television). This system allows people to receive some 18 free channels instead of the basic 6 and a half with a cheap decoder and usual antenna (half being for France 5 and Arte on a shared-time channel).
W9 is the "little sister" of M6, one of the basic channels, aimed at a popular and young audience (X-Files, NCIS, The Pretender, Prison Break, SGA...)
"Kyle XY" is the biggest success since TNT started in France, and the second season is still improving on those results.
The show will air on M6 in 2008, which means an even wider audience.
Nick is regularly cited in the reviews (as "Krycek from the X-Files", of course...)
