So I was listening to Speedy Wonder today. I'm pretty dumb sometimes, and so the first few times I listened to it, I couldn't figure out what the English at the very beginning was ( Read more... )

Uh, Explosion. The "show me non-fiction" line or something like that? I totally thought it was "show me your friction" and, uh, MIND IN GUTTER. IDEK. ):

Ahahaha "you may be heavenly psycho", that really is pretty impressive.

HAHAHA, THAT IS AWESOME.
I love misheard lyrics as if they were my children, for srs.
They can show me their friction any time. :3

The really sad thing is when they sing bad English, and you hear it as better English, only to find out that you were wrong (Like NEWS' Fiesta. For the longest time, I thought it was, 'Everybody, have a party', and then I find out it's 'Everybody in a party', which is ten times cooler, but possibly ten times less correct.

XD; w, they actually heard 'heavily pyscho' rather than 'heavenly pyscho'. Must be Ryo's version of the song. 8Dv

Tell me about it. It's worse when it's a mix of English and some other language. Someone managed to hear a BoA song that had the phrase 'crazy moves' surrounded by a bunch of Korean as something like, "I'll show you those crazy moves that your wife never lets you do".
XD Misheard lyrics provide me with hours of amusement.

Ahaha, an accomplice! XD
But seriously, one would think I'd have figured out what they were saying a little sooner after the rest of the song. ^^; But no. Not me...

i totally thought they were saying "today is my hundreth birthday" too! it took quite a few listens before i realized that wasn't what they said, i was wondering why they'd be singing about 100 years old, lol.
i've had a lot of those experiences, but it's always with the english, hardly ever with the japanese.

Yeah. XD Their accents sometimes make them all so hard to understand. Tegomass' English version of Miso Soup was the biggest source of headache for me ever. XD

XD; Yeah, I ended up doing that too. It's probably the source of a lot of worry for my family, because I sing along to my MP3 player in the car, and whenever I get up to there, I break into laughter for what seems to be no reason. n.n;
