EDIT: (11/09/09
Update Notes) MV is patched on certain NMs. The fact that you have to wait "X" amount of time after a helix lands for MV to be used actually does not affect this strategy. However, NM resistance probably will and AV is almost certainly on the list of resistance mobs.

There are only 1-2 paragraphs in this entire post that even mentions my current in-game situation - one of which happens to be the one you zoomed in on. This post was not meant to talk about my in game situation; I think that much is evident. As to the "I'm quitting, no wait I'm back" QQing, I suppose there's no defense for that so you got me there. Then again, this is a LiveJournal, which is a mecca of "emo", so if anything, this would be the place for that sort of QQing right?
Whatever I did to make you feel this way about me, I just want you to know that it's perfectly fine to me - I'm sure I've rubbed many people the wrong way before. Of course, I would rather everyone like me, but that would be unrealistic. As you appear to have met me before all the hype surrounding this LJ and myself, you must know that I am just a regular player like everyone else, and in a way, that alone is quite refreshing.
All the best.

killing "the immortal" av is pretty much the only thing left in the game to do, seriously. unless u solo shit that wasnt meant to be solo'd (which he's already done)
At the end of the day, its all about you doing whats the most enjoyable to you. if u dont like a person dont visit their journal eh? live and let die.. it works.

I don't know what happened with your case, but sadly, not everyone can join a group. Any strong group has to be built on selectivity, and that generally means that a lot of people get denied. Please don't take offense to not being accepted.
Now if I personally went out of my way to /tell you and laugh at you about not getting in, then my apologies (though, I honestly doubt this). It is true that some people like to take the LS they are in to mean more than it really is. I think as we all progress further over time, we realize that quite frankly, no LS is perfect and you're in for a rude awakening if you think any single LS (including yours) is unique.

Please do not tell me you were obsessed with them for five years because you reach your prime and they kept ascending?
I do not know which is sad you holding a grudge for five fucking years or holding a grudge for five years because you reach your prime and you were not able to ascend to their level.
All I can say is that you are fucking pathetic and you should consider jumping off from the Brooklyn Bridge to end your existence since you are not able to achieve anything in this game and this lifetime. Maybe in the next life you will able to accomplish things where others have not reached.

Some of the outside comments looking in on this little back and forth between us seem to be pretty damn harsh towards you, much like your assessment of me; however, I hope that at least a tiny bit of relief or closure can come from this, so I'll make another reply.
5 years ago, the outlook on this game was much different - as a whole and for myself personally. This was an age where elitism and getting into one of the coveted HNM LSs was a huge deal - not like today where passable/good HNM LSs are a dime a dozen. I can see the disappointment someone would have if they were unable to get into and loved endgame. The game was very harsh back then to people without strong groups. For this reason, I think your frustration is at least partially explainable.
But please again realize that the vast majority of us didn't get in because we were somehow better than those who did not. I definitely didn't get in because I was a good player - only because my brother was an original member (TK was actually always JP/NA, minor correction to what you stated earlier - it's actually much more JP than it used to be). Dragosal got in because he was Chili's friend. Chili got in because he was Shadz's friend, and only after a bit of fanfare. Basically, it's mostly luck.

I'm not trying to act overly humble to blow you off. After so many years, this is how I truly feel - and it doesn't mean I'm not fiercely proud of TK. I like to think we can all find a place to be happy in, in any scenario (FFXI being one of them). You don't need a pink pearl to do it for you - just some friends to talk to and do things with.
Whatever you're up to now, I hope RL is treating you well. You seemed to harbor such pent up anger over whatever happened, I hope this can at least dispel some of that for you. One of the coolest people I ever met in FFXI once told me a very true quote:
"When the chess game ends, the Kings and the Pawns go back in the same box"
So even if you still resent me or TK, just remember that when it's all said and done in this game, it won't matter. My tiny little "internet celebrity" from FFXI will be essentially meaningless - and that's OK, if not welcomed, for me.
Best Wishes

Holding an in game grudge for 5 years (in a game you may not even play anymore) is very odd and not normal. Whatever happened 5 years ago, I think the best thing to do is just learn to get over it. If not possible, at least make an effort.
There are better things to do than to attack anonymous players over the internet. We (as in everyone in general) don't know anything about who's on the other side - it seems almost illogical to be attacking each other with RL quips.
