Wow, what a week... and it's only Tuesday... 0_0
Yesterday, Mochi and I went to Parkway Plaza after eating at L&L's. I remembered a kimono shop there when I was younger, but unfortunately, it wasn't there anymore. -_- I also continued with my mission of asking one single question at every game store: "When is the PS3 coming out?" So far, the employees at EB and Gamestop gave me some kind of answer; the EB employee suggested it will most likely be out in July, while the Gamestop employee suggested this fall. Wow... for once, I got something else than "we don't know yet".
At the book store, I came across a book called Chocolate Chocolate. Upon scanning the pages, Mochi and I couldn't believe there was a recipe called Cola-Cola Cake with Cola-Cola Frosting. My goodness, a chocolate cake made with Coke? 0_0 I thought a chocolate cake made with mayo was bad enough. X_X There was another recipe where the cake had the fudgy texture of a brownie and it was topped with a truffle. I wish I could make that one.
The best store was obviously Puppy Time, where cute adorable puppies were for sale. There was also bunnies (for some reason, they looked like huge rice balls with ears) and dwarf hamsters, but nothing could beat the baby Husky with his blue eyes and adorable factor. Mochi and another fellow Husky owner took pictures of him with their camera phones. ^_^ The baby Husky even wanted me to pet him. ^.^ Too bad he got bought that day. -_- *is sad*
Afterwards, Mochi and I looked at the Wal-Mart to rate its "ghetto" factor, which surprisingly doesn't exist. 0_0 Instead of the usual McDonald's, there was a Blimpie's in its place. There's some games I need to buy over there as well, so I will most likely plan another trip in the near future (and I get to see more puppies!).
Today was even more amusing... I had a job interview in Coronado for a lab assistant at a one-hour photo/gift shop. Most of the interview consisted of me helping out my potential employer cropping a photo to have it print out correctly. X_X So funny...
With an empty stomch, I went to Horton Plaza to continue my mission (asking the same question at every game store) and for a quick bite to eat. I wound up going to Godiva after finding out they started to offer selling brownies drizzled with chocolate. I just couldn't resist. ^.^ It was so fudgy and plain good, just the way I like it. ^.^ It was so worth my $4.00! They also started a card program that's being tested in three cities, with San Diego as one of those three. I signed up for it, of course, especially when I love their Platinum collection (the ginger one was surprisingly good, according to the rice ball). Besides, signing up for the card was free, and when I make enough purchases (I believe I have to buy about $50.00 worth of Godiva chocolate), I get to have 8 free individual pieces of Godiva chocolate from the display case. Not bad. ^_^
Being bored as usual, I picked up the rice ball and went back to the evil campus *shudders*. Jeremy was the only person there, so we started to talk about various topics, including video games and of course, school politics. At one point, everyone just showed up out of nowhere and hanged out at the cubicle. 0.0' Strange... but funny. As usual, I got picked on (that'll never change (>TT)>/ ). When I found out that Basara was moving east, I just had to hang out with him, Nezumi and the rest. We wind up at L&L's- AGAIN. X_X My poor Chicken Katsu was not juicy this time (glares at the rice ball), but it was all good.
Once we finished, we went to the Chula Vista Mall so Twitchy can say "hi" to Basara for the last time. I was surprised that Tilt had House of the Dead 4 (man, those games are ALWAYS hard) as well as KoF '03 and KoF XI (is happy ^_^). There was a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, but they charge way too much per pound, plus their chocolate tastes... wierd. o.o' Their fudge is good, I admit, but I think they should charge less for their chocolates.
Well, I hope to get the job so I can start causing chaos... or basically, getting something like a Ribbon Cake. ^_^ Basara, take care...
