Well, this figures....
I'm supposed to be on a plane to Egypt tomorrow night. Less than 48 hours.
Except....
My grandmother almost died a few hours ago. Well, I guess technically she did die, but was revived. She coded twice in the ER & now she's up in ICU, holding steady for now. Needs a perm pacemaker, keeps losing her heart rhythmn (she has a temp in now).
It's at times like this I hate being a nurse (ICU particularly). All I can think of is all the things that can go wrong (most of which, I've seen). T___T
I knew something was against me going on this trip. It had too many roadblocks to get together. I hope my trip insurance covers this. T__T My mom says we should go if it doesn't (although the lady at the company thinks it does. We'll find out in the morning, when they reopen), but I think I'd feel too guilty & nervous. For all the money and hassle, I want to have fun on this trip.
