I require winter party dresses. *sulk*

I have the summer's must-have Hobbs navy polka dot Audrey dress (seen here in plum) - and very gorgeous it is too - but I don't want to pack it away for the duration of the winter. Anyone know ways to jazz it up for the colder months without compromising on it's simple lines ( Read more... )

Why, yes, indeedy! Buy a ballet dancer's wrap cardigan. Last year they were in all the stores, this year you may have to go to Pineapple or Capezio.

I'd be tempted to "frost" it. A white, silver or pale grey wrap, shrug, or maybe even a furry stole for added winter warmth. Add some shiny shiny jewelery... diamonds or some clear crystals or, even better, pearls and diamonds (for that fifties starlet look). Go for class, class, class but glowing like crisp white snow with a frosty sparkle. Then stay with fifties thing and make hair slick and gorgeous, skin deliberately pale and bright red lips ( ... )
