Week 3

Apr 15, 2005 23:30

Wow, time gets away from me quickly these days! I'm not really sure what has kept me so busy, but I figured that I should update you guys out there with what happened with the Fashion Show last week. I was only in the Friday show, as Sharon had some other volunteers for Saturday morning. So, Friday night was a rainy, icky night which, if you know Birkdale, isn't the most conducive night for outdoor mall shoppers, there weren't many people. My outfit was a full, cream silk skirt with yellow flowers. It was paired with a sleeveless wrap sweater in yellow w/white stripes. Underneath the sweater, I had a white cami w/lace trim. Overall, I really did like my outfit and everyone who saw me in it said "Wow! That really looks like something I'd picture you wearing"...so, points to Suzanne for picking out something that was "me". Maybe, if it goes on really fabulous sale, I'll think about getting it. Who cares if it's out of season? Anyway, our "show" consisted of walking circles around the store, stopping briefly to pose by the open front doors while Sharon smiled and say "yaaaayyy!". My week 3 goal had been to start reading my Gideon bible edition of the New Testament. I did not however, do so well with it. I started reading the very beginning, but got no farther..so, week 4 I'll continuing trying to read it. However, as I was feeling depressed on failing in my project so early, I realized that there is something that I did consistently this week, without intending it as my goal... For Christmas, I got a Clinque kit, with some makeup, lotion & face wash. So, this week, I decided to be like normal women & wash my face every night to see if it made a difference. Have I noticed any results? Well, a few more breakouts, but I wouldn't consider that a positive.. It could however be that it's coming up on my time of the month, so maybe that's the result of the extra pimples :(.

As a closing note on this entry, I’d like to congratulate two of my favorite people in this world on their job progress!! I’m glad to hear that Erika’s interview went well and I'm looking forward to Brian's visit for his second interview with CIC. I have everything possible crossed in hopes that this position is what God had in mind for him.

I can't wait to continue our lives together without any of this distance. It's been hard being separated by school and now, even harder being apart because of living situations. I'm looking forward to Tuesday when he comes in for the interview. Three weeks is TOOOO LONG! If you're reading this sweetie, I can't wait for you to be here!
